This just proves yet again that Gilbert wouldn't have dominated 2011 if Valverde had been there ;)

Just wait until you see the Cauberg times of this year and compare them to 2011 ;)

Furthermore, it is hard to tell how strong Valverde was in comparison to Gilbert this year since Valverde really, really, really values his 2nd places.

Great mentality there, champ.

He wheelsucked and won the sprint, that's what Valverde always does.

No, he was one of the animators in the finale along with Gilbert and Gerrans. He could have gotten the same result easier by wheel sucking if he had stayed in the big group that finished behind Kreuziger.

Valverde for the Ardennes double?

Not if Contador has a say in it :D

FW is gonna be real interesting now with purito's crash.

And haven't seen sky today. Does it only work in stage races?

And always beats gilbert.

He was so lucky that valverde was taking a vacation in 2011... The difference in talent and class are so obvious.

Lol, so you just hate Gilbert and that's why you're posting stuff like this.

Yeah, he always beats Gilbert, we saw that at the World Championship.

Valverde wheelsucked and won the sprint for second. That's what happened, no one is hating on someone here except you lol.

Great win for Roman. I do not mind Sagan loosing "sometimes" as long as Stybar or Kreutziger take it instead. :)

This race looks very very difficult to control as main favorite.

Sagan should rest now and switch to sprinter mode now.

Hahaha, no kidding. Same here. Must be a Czech way of looking at it :D

It was Kwiatkowski. Trust me, it is easy for me to recognize him. I am 100% sure
Davide Cassini of RAI says it was too - so you're probably right to stick to your guns.

+1 to see Gerrans, Valverde react to Gilbert on Cauberg. Not letting WC repeat.

Think Valverde actually closed the gap to Gilbert at end, dragging Gerrans with him. Not too one-sided.

Piti like Purito maybe: hard for them to do longer attack (but think Purito did at Lombardy last year).

Down to team and positioning on the Cauberg.

Nonsense, Phil was right next the Valverde at the bottom of the Cauberg.

He just wasn't good enough. Got outkicked very easily by EBH as well.

Lol at thinking that Valverde wheel sucking and winning the sprint for 2nd makes him the strongest.

Phil having already won AGR twice doesn't care about sprinting for 2nd.

Valverde the tool on the other hand, having always failed on the Cauberg is desperate for a podium.

Phil attack on Cauberg was impressive again, considering he was involved in a crash earlier. looks good for F-W, and LBL.

Yeah, I was wondering about that too? Maybe because kiryenka crashed? I didn't even see Uran or Henao who were supposedly the leader riding on the front on all climb, and not even EBH who is their plan B?

Andy abandoned with about 60 kms to go.

Yes he crashed, or was stopped by a crash, but he was chasing with Gilbert and did not look like hurt. He just does not have the passion to ride and compete. He gives up with every difficulty
