Getting ready for 3-4 days of rain.. In middle 50s..(10-12c) saw a guy from Holland riding up Highway 94..he rode from San Francisco and will ride down Baja to La Paz..says he has 3 weeks allocated.. was climbing decent with bike baggage front and rear.. Offered my house in he wants to wait out the rain.. Shared a laugh about $8+ dollar beers in San Diego.. Don't know what the going rate is in the Netherlands right now!! Beer in Baja is less than $2 bucks for domestic and $4-5 for16oz of craft beer

This winter has been hard for me mentally. Consistently colder, much wetter, and windier. The trails have not been rideable since early November. Now we're a little warmer from the storms moving in from Hawaii, but its bringing even more rain/snow.
We've been getting the rain/snow mix here lately as well, mostly in the mornings. Same here. We've hit 100 over the whole weekend, it never cooled off overnight, so no point in opening the windows in the morning to cool the house off. 85 seems balmy these days...
110-120 during the day, 90s at night and early morning. During the day our WC is basically running the whole time and heaven forbid we use the oven or drier. That’s with blackout curtains in the rooms.
The world climate has gone bananas. Floods in China and Korea. Heatwaves and fires in the USA and Europe. Australia was getting record rainfall last year in many areas now the winter rains have dried up and we are overdue for a hot summer in December at least in NSW.

Another unpleasant heatwave coming into my area - starting today it's supposed to go over 103F for the rest of the week. We have severe fire danger alerts in my county, hopefully some bozos won't insist on barbecuing or lighting campfires!
Big predictions about hurricane Hilary..it's getting us in N.Baja steady rain so far since 1_in the morning last night.. No wind and not too heavy.. San Diego and Tijuana to get hit later today..
By my unofficial meteorology we had 25-28 hours of continuous rain.. and probably 4 to 5 inches of accumulated rainfall.. Not much wind and hurricane Hilary damaged many places north on including San Diego and Los Angeles
Anyone catch the solar eclipse yesterday? It was cloudy and rainy in my area and being I thought we were only close but not in the direct path like a few years ago I just ignored the whole thing and the hype surrounding it. Well, at one point in the morning it got eerily dark, I thought for sure we had a torrential rainstorm moving in. But then a few minutes later it got light again so I thought that must have been the eclipse... I checked the clock and the news and sure enough it was!
There really is no weather condition I can think of or have experienced that equals a solar eclipse, the best way I can describe it anyway is an eery and quiet darkness. It's pretty sci-fi.

A couple of months ago, my school decided that the first couple of days after New Year's should consist of virtual lessons. That almost seems prophetic now.
Ensenada ,Baja California Mexico, yesterday rain throughout the afternoon and evening, was 12 degrees, today sunny and cloudless ..same temperature.. Prediction clear and sunny until Sunday. No leg warmers, long sleeve jersey and vest..no gloves needed

Yes. Probably people will think twice next time they wake up to 30 centimetres of snow and think they have something important to go to. Even if that something important is work.
I was walking through the snow today and sprained my ankle a bit. I wish I had stayed at home, too.
