If cycling fans aren't whining about how boring the last race was, you can bet your sweet bippy that they'll be focused on who they want to lose in the next race that will ultimately disappoint them, too.

Anything but sunshine and calm winds please.
Who would benefit the most from bad conditions? Nibali? Anyone else a specialist in the bad weather?

I'm going for an outsider because I think the race is shaping up to be a non-big contender winning.

Gallopin or Caruso. I'll go Caruso.

Sw winds and mild at that it seems. So a general crosswind from the haute levee on till after the roche aux faucons. Headwind at the top of the redoute. Tailwind in the finale. Right?

Anything but a bunch sprint please.

The good thing about this race is that with her end it signals the re-start of real racing season after a 1 week rest break.

As evidenced by Paris - Nice, Valgren is pretty good in rainy conditions. Since I want Nibali, Fuglsang, or Valgren to win (very much a longshot), rain is welcomed on my behalf.

Hofland seems to want to have a ride by himself. He has managed to get himself in between the breakaway and peloton. He is losing time on the break but still making time on the peloton.

Nice ride from Quaade to get in the break. He is not in top shape at the moment and he wasn't supposed to ride this race until Gerdemann got sick.

Looks like Europcar either want to make the race hard to set up a Rolland long distance attack or wanted someone in the breakaway.

Is it raining? If so, I'm hoping the semi-favorites and outsiders will attack BEFORE La Redoute. Let's have a pure elimination race as hard as the London Marathon.

Rolland is someone who is prepared to attack from a decent range and he is dangerous enough to really break if he goes at the right time. If he goes and Nibali joins him it could really make the race.
