Start has been delayed by 15 minutes due to headwind and a desire to not have the race be intefered with by train scheduling.

I think it's actually a tailwind that's causing the delay (along with trains). They don't want the race over before scheduled french live TV coverage starts!

Hoping for an eventful race and a surprise winner. On top of that

A) no full *** solo from anyone
B) no disneyesque legacy ride for boonen
C) no GVA or sagan win.

A) So, just a completely awesome solo, then?
B) What's Disneyesque?
C) Why?

B) Cheesy. As in retiring after winning the most Paris roubaix ever.

C) well, GVA and Sagan would hardly be surprise winners.

Why has steve cummings never tried fully on the cobbled classics? I would believe that he would have an outside chance of winning if he started today...

So if it wasn't going to be Boonen's last race you'd be okay if he won it?

no the guy can't ride in the peloton.

same reason other big engines like De Gendt and Dennis don't race them.

Canondale question:

Why do some of their riders wear the cerise socks and some the lime green jersey colour socks?

But more importantly, if that is Dylan Van Baarle in the break, then .......................Why!?

first 8-rider breakaway; but peloton rather won't let them do the 15 minutes gap

Gougeard bridged to in the break. Couple of strong riders in the break now, would be nice if they manage to stay away.

Lots of people trying to bridge now and the peloton isn't letting it go just yet. Don't think this will be the break of the day.

I would prefer an underdog of course, but I quite like boonen actually. Just have an aversion towards legacy, dynasty and whatnot, ie towards stories whose main purpose is to serve as means to shift units.

Everyone knows how important it is to be in the break in PR. When you're in it, you've got a (outside) chance to win.
