"Boom, originally a track cyclist"

Kirby being full *** as usual, but nice win by Boom, did not expect that to happen at all

You know... those - sometimes rather muddy - tracks that are often used in cross.

Tactical blunder from Wellens. With Greipel in the group, he should have jumped right on Boom rather than wait until he had 100 meters. Probably waiting for Sagan like everyone else but no need for Sagan to chase down Boom.

Smart attack by Boom, sneaking away when there was only a weakened Wellness (deliberate spelling) to chase. Sagan looks like the strongest rider in the race

If Sagan celebrate like this we would have 2-3 more pages. :).
Great timing for Boom.
I still do not underatand why such a strong group let Gilbert and GVA bridge.

2 arithmetical morons. Eurosport, dock their wages. Boom is clearly in black and green! Go back to school. GCSE maths should be a prerequisite for the job.

btw what was that celebration about?

He got a lot of criticism for his lack of results. When being asked who it was aimed at he said 'Those people will know it's about them', refusing to give any names.

It's almost like he won GT stage or WC. Little bit too much.

Well, the thing is that he always gets accused of being a little lazy, putting his personal life before his work/career and not making enough training hours. I guess that frustated and motivated him to put in some more effort.

He knows perfectly well he didn't win Paris-Roubaix or the WC, but it's more about revenge and happiness mixed together. Don't forget that when Boom turned pro he was seen as the biggest Dutch (classics) prodigy in decades.
