Re: Re:
Age. I have been saying since January that this would be Greipel's last year at the top, and I was only half right (that is, if you consider 1 stage in the Giro and Paris-Nice and a couple of other relatively meaningless results to be 'at the top.')
In any event, he is now slower than Bauhaus and Magnus Cort.
Then again, the BinckBank Tour doesn't tell us much about how fast a cyclist really is at the moment.
I guess my point is that this is not just a poor season from Greipel, but in my opinion the end of a great sprinter.
In any event, this race has really seen the young up-and coming sprinters - the guys who will be challenging for the GT stage wins in 5 years - getting to flex their muscles:
Bauhuas
Barbier
Consonni (who I have high hopes for)
And then a bunch of other, primarily Belgian or Dutch young cyclists who should be looked out for who are filling out the top 10, as well as the already well-established young sprinters such as Groenwegen and Magnus Cort.

What has happened to the Gorilla? He just seems to be off his game these days.Keram said:Especially Greipel is really atrocious. Hoping for proper sprint tommorow and proper gc battle at weekend. No need of bonus sec for Sags tommorow. He has enough already.
