Furlan, Stauff, Lucas Haedo, Impey, Förster and Aitor Galdos.
That's pretty much it. Cavendish should be able to beat them with both hands tied behind his back while riding backwards

Doesn't 5th in a stage give 1 world tour point?

Yes, for a Protour race, the field of sprinters is a joke. Cav, JJ Haedo, and... well, that's about it.Moondance said:Also, nice to see Cav take a win, but in all honesty the level of sprinters here looks horrible. When Hesjedal and Daniel Moreno are top-10 in a peleton sprint, you know something is rotten in the state of Catalonia.

Cav beat Haedo by half a bike length, so currently their level isn't far apart.Jamsque said:No disrespect to him, but I don't consider JJ to be a top-class sprinter. He has won a buttload of crits in the US and he is clearly fast, but he has done very little in Europe. I think he has one pro-tour win to his credit, and that was at the Tour of Germany three or four years ago.
Today was a day that Cav really had to win, there were no other riders that are close to his level.
