I wonder what he's discussing with race director Jean François Pescheux?

He's probably grumbling about the sprint markers. PG seemed to think the 1km to go banner was the 'finish' line.

No mountains so far today. You can't seriously suggest that cav could beat Phil on an actual hill.

Apparently he did it a fair bit in the giro ... Should have missed the cut but got a tow up to just make it

Is there any actual evidence? Like a photo or video? Otherwise he's probably just doing what they all do with lazy bidons (which I don't agree with anyway)

I do remember seeing a picture of about 5 riders and Cav was the only one NOT holding onto the car

That was alleged, but strangely no camera caught any pictures of it all day long - hmmmmm

I remember that image. If I'm not mistaken, the guy who accused him of doing it was one of the guys getting a tow.

Pathetic how Cav can even score more points than Gilbert in mountain stages.

lot of points on offer for Gilbert tomorow after the descent of a Liege like short and steep climb

errr you can't be serious

He's complaining about the points system, not Gilbert. In fact, he's probably the biggest Gilbert fan on this message board.

No pics ... But there was a small group of 8 riders well off the back of the bus ... Including 3 from htc and the split/climb times are pretty Suss. Robbie mcewen was eliminated and caves group made the time by a matter of about 30 seconds

That will be interesting. 10 km from the summit to the sprint point, and I imagine if Cav is close enough, HTC will be in full leadout mode trying to bring phil back before the line.

I have to say I like the intermediates. Sprint teams do some work in the early/middle parts of the stages and adds some excitement to the early part of some of these stages.

I do think in the end it favors true sprinters chances at green.
