Only problem is if people like Moncoutie and Tjallingii attack on the Aubisque that maybe it for Petacchi and Hushovd (after his maillot jaune efforts).

Good breakaway.

Who will climb best of the norweigans on the aubisque: Thor or EBH? Should be EBH, but Thor has surprised us big time so far.

Moncoutie for the win!

No, Roy! Damn fool has to start earning some points for my fantasy team already after being in useless breaks all week long. ;)

Cavendish catching back on to the pack, he might pick up a few more points at the intermediate.

Not the Tour of Rabobank, they have a stage win. But with all the falls and illnesses they are heavily weakened. Boom has been having problems almost since the start and now quits..
Mollema is ill.
Garate had to quit.
Gesink is not good.

The only hope is... LtD

Kloden looked devastated. So sad. The look on the faces of Dirk Demol and ?Alain Gallopin - incredulous, shocked.

Phil Liggett reporting his sources say Contador having major saddle sore issues, modified saddle to rest on one cheek.

Barredo tried desperately to get in the break today but no joy. Interesting to see that Gesink was briefly in one of the unsuccessful breakaway attempts. If he can keep things together and not abandon over the next few days (and that's a big "if") I could see him winning a stage in the Alps from a break.

With Steegmans and Isaichev both abandoning the competition for the lantern rouge is wearing thin. It's Jerome's to lose now.

Should be some good action on the aubisque among the breakawayers, some of them will try to drop EBH, Thor and Petacchi.

Gilbert or Vanendert should have made that breakaway.

This stage is over. Break will win, probably Hushovd or Petacchi to win.
