Expecting Giilbert to be in the break today, prolly the last chance for him for the Green or it will be secured by Cav..

Well, the 1998 Tour was won on the Galibier. It only makes sense that the Giro-Tour double will once again be decided on the Galibier.

Gilbert is tired and doesn't care about the green anymore.

He is like 70point behind, its not gonna happen.
Also nobody went for them yesterday (only cavendish) so even rojas is not thinking about it anymore.

It says they were caught at 15.5km. The comment is made at 1446, 16 minutes in.

58km/h

Why would anyone want to be in the break today apart from the absolute best climbers.

No idea I would probably ride the other way if I saw todays stage in front of me but Saxo, lepo and BMC might want a guy up the road to help. Probably BMC the most.

They are flying along. They really, really want to get to those mountains.

Wonder if it's attacks, or HTC keeping it together for the sprint point.

I think today there is a chance of attacks before the final climb. It's not quite desperation time yet for Contador and Sanchez, but it's getting close. I don't expect the Schlecks to attack early, but don't think Contador will wait for the Galibier. I'm excited for this.

If Gilbert wins today's stage, wins the intermediate sprint both today and tomorrow, then he'll still have to beat Cavendish in Paris to win the Green Jersey.
