Chris Froome going from strength to strength, Superb. And all that after people shouting at him, "you win we kill you", unbelievable

EDIT: I see it's been posted already.

It's weird. It must have been a couple of loonies, otherwise Froome wouldn't have gone out of his way to thank the Spanish fans. But then, why would Wiggins tweet about it? Or was Froome's statement some sort of preemptive "Yeah I know there's some morons out there and this is going to be controversial when people learn about it, but before the **** hits the fan I want to make clear most people here have been super nice to us"?

I think if Froome loses the race by 12 seconds, he didn't lose it in the ITT, the TTT or on the Angliru, but stage 11 where he lost 27 seconds on pretty much the entire top 10. That was really unneccesary.

Of course my screen went blank the second the **** starting hitting the fan 2k out. Sort of caught the end. Looks like it's going to go down to the line. Great rides from Cobo and Froome.

Well in these cases it's always a couple of loonies... watching the climb again I can only see people cheering for Froome and Wiggins.

I don't think Froome heard any of that cause otherwise he wouldn't have said that about the fans.

Wiggins was 1 min drop from Froome, it has to be Froome who told him.

If it's a mind game from Wiggins is a dangerous red line crossed and if it's true i prefer Froome himself warn about it.

Anyway Froome told in the interview that spanish fans were nice with him in spite of Cobo was a local rider:confused::confused:

¿Who lies?

Or maybe Froome decided not to judge the entire Spanish fan population by the actions of a few.

How about no-one lies.

Froome maybe heard the shouts but he is grown-up enough to realize they don't represent most of the fans.

Yes, amen to this subject... sort of like judging entire UK based on a bunch of criminal Man U hooligans :D

I think I speak for most Spanish cycling fans by saying that we really enjoyed Froome's attack. :p

I know a group of friends and people from Cobo's town were in the ramps but it's hard to believe they insulted Froome because Cantabria has an old cycling culture. Maybe the "now or never" for a GC Cobo win excited a lot this group of friends but I don't think.

However in Peña Cabarga were 70.000 fans, if a group of 5 or 10 did that you sould be quiet, like Contador in Zoncolan where a little group tried to ridiculize him with the doping case but him weighted more the other 200.000 italians who applause him at the same level with the local riders. Froome also weight the 70.000 spaniard than this hypotetical group. In massive sport you has to be cool. The Wiggo action is strange, maybe is paranoic that the spanish are blocked him to avoid the sky victory. But it was Wiggo who blocked Froome aspirations.

It's had to be something more serious to give a public voice.;) And has to be Froome no Wiggo.

This the worst thing about people at the climbs, there isn't space. I like waht Italy did with a mix of army and police.

Vuelta can only afford that if Contador shows up apparently(compare Angliru 2008 with 2011 lol)
