I'm expecting Anton to go betteron this stage. As long as Nieve can position him i envisage him going well on the puchy steeper gradients. He is more suited to that then the long attritional climbs. JROD shall of course have Moreno and is the other favourite. Nibali and Scarponi will go well as well. I think Roche might surprise and so will Martin. JVDB will go quite well to after setting up Gilbert in the classics.

I was thinking about Fleche Wallone. Huy is just as hard. He's riding better now, than in April.
Taking out those not at the Vuelta:

2. Joaquin Rodriguez Oliver (Sp), Team Katusha, at 0:03
5. Igor Anton Hernandez (Sp), Euskaltel-Euskadi, at 0:06
8. Daniel Moreno Fernandez (Sp), Team Katusha, at 0:09
9. Christophe Le Mevel (F), Garmin-Cervélo, at 0:12
10. Paul Martens (G), Rabobank Cycling Team, at 0:12
12. Michael Albasini (Swi), HTC-Highroad, at 0:17
16. Greg Van Avermaet (B), BMC Racing Team, at 0:20
17. Jurgen Van Den Broeck (B), Omega Pharma-Lotto, at 0:23
20. Benat Intxausti Elorriaga (Sp), Movistar, at 0:28

Anton hasn't got the legs, so..........I guess Martens and Albasini come into the frame, too.

Well that explains who will beat Rodriguez - his teammate:p

Seriously though im thinking Nibali and Scarponi for podium, and one of them might beat J Rod.

Nibali was second here last year wasnt he?

CAS had no problems with Moreno's defensive riding:

Van Den Broeck was working for Gilbert of course. He's one of those who will look at the TdF podium and think that but for the grace of God...

Well everyone outside that podium got badly screwed not just VDB. If there were less crashes then he wouldnt have got anywhere near that podium.

+1 we need his points! ;) Does anybody know what happened to him yesterday?

Stomach pains and his asthma shows up when it's that hot, took it easy in the mountain to lose time and try a break.

Sorry but by now how can anyone wish that Gilbert takes part in any race whatsoever? Boring as hell! ;)

Yeah I was getting bored, It was great early on but its was starting to get too much.

Its good to see different riders going head to head, IE Wiggins, Dan Martin, Kruiswick, J-Rod, Moreno etc.

Just for the same reason people want Contador in a race.

Without it, it's boring times 10000.

any good site, where you can keep an eye on whats going on on the road? I meant fast info from the road! Still no break it seems!

I'm sure it is, for the biggest Gilbert and Contador fanboy in the world.

Oh yeah? Tell us how 'exciting' Eneco was once PhilGil realized he couldn't win the overall? All that defensive riding by Sky -- letting the breaks stay away to protect Eddie Bo?

Frankly, I'd call that boring, not PG or AC in full flight.

Because this Vuelta has been oh so exciting already

And god forbid how boring Contador and Gilbert were at the Tour this year! I suppose you like Gesink messing things up a lot more than seeing an actual attack in a race. Because without those 2, nothing would have ever happened in that Tour. Except for Andy's attack, that would have been the Tour: a one day race.

Sky's tracker seems to be ahead of the Vuelta site's. 25 riders up the road at the moment.
