on Sunday this classification will be much more interesting!

On Sunday week it will be even more so, but at least we can afford some people the consolation of optimism at this stage.

If the Giro were to finish after stage 12, the leading finishers would be:

1 Damiano 1406
2 FF'Wilco 1371
3 mc mountain 1339
4 gustienordic 1269
5 Nyssinator 1267
6 hilltop finisher 1199
7 Geraint too fast 1154
8 Eric 8A 1135
9 Tuarts 1131
10 asdfgh101 1093

2 new entries in the virtual top ten: mc mountain and hilltop finisher, both with Casar in the team. Dasyboja also had Casar, and CQManager has also moved (temporarily?) much higher through Santaromita.

Hopefully I'll come back a bit after today's stage. My team's pretty mountain oriented.

Hardly any change yesterday (the start line, and its absentees, today made more impact than the finish line yesterday) so I didn't bother posting.

If the Giro were to finish after stage 14, the leading finishers would be:

1 mc mountain 1614
2 Damiano 1597
3 FF'Wilco 1585
4 gustienordic 1459
5 hilltop finisher 1407
6 Geraint too fast 1376

CQM: do you ever get the feeling that you and I are talking to ourselves here?

If the Giro were to finish after stage 15, the leading finishers would be:

1 FF'Wilco 1568
2 Damiano 1530
3 gustienordic 1483
4 Nyssinator 1459
5 Geraint too fast 1438
6 mc mountain 1392
7 Handbrake 1357
8 hilltop finisher 1349
9 asdfgh 1344
10 Tuarts 1333

Teosheva thought on Wednesday that this would be far more interesting today: in fact, the top 5 is made up of the same competitors. If by "interesting" he meant he would be moving into a dominant position as in the season game, the bad news is that he is 61st out of 77 (and of the 16 he is beating, only 3 have a full complement of 9 riders).

No kidding! Sometimes I'm questioning all my efforts and time being just wasted here but at the same time the daily update really takes just a few minutes and I want to keep the game running since I started. I think that I can learn from it, get some feedback and make it more exciting for the Tour and the future. After all this game was meant to bring some excitement to those who missed the big game or those who are not doing good at that game.

you are absolute wrong... I was following this thread and I like this kind of classification that you are doing... and I said that would be more interesting after the 15th stage just because the GC should be closer to the final one...

thank you for underline that my team is doing really bad

Predictably little impact from this stage: Mellow Velo appears in the top 10, but was only 3 points out of it yesterday.

Gesink was removed ... any other non participating riders to be deleted?

BTW figured a better way was staring riders for the Tour game but I will need some help with updates as I will be on vacation in July ... perhaps Hugo has time to run the Tour game

If the Giro were to finish after stage 17, the leading finishers would be:

1 FF'Wilco 1621
2 mc mountain 1496
3 gustienordic 1404
4 Handbrake 1399
5 Chris Schneider 1370
6 Hrotha 1357
7 Nyssinator 1339
8= hilltop finisher 1294
8= Froome19 1294
10 Geraint too fast 1290

A bit of movement at last, but it may be that FF'Wilco is moving into a lead that will be hard to overhaul. 2 new names (Chris Schneider and Froome19), and one re-entry (Hrotha) into the top ten.

We were told before the race started that the rules were that each team must have 9 riders in the Giro: 2 of our top 5 fall short of that requirement. Where are all the UCI commissaires when an adjudication is needed?

Yes!
I am still trying to work out how i moved up considering that I had Henao and of course I have Meersman and Guardini.
I guess it was really the combination of Hesjedal and Basso that are getting me the points, and in fact they are both relatively cheap as none my other riders have really scored or are looking to asides from Ventoso's stage win.
If only i could have swapped all of them for Purito:eek:

I deleted bunch of names that were selected but are not doing Giro thats why some teams dont have nine riders ...

Minor placings for Larsson, Stetina and Pinotti more than make up for Meersman not getting 15 anticipated finisher points for you.

Indeed, but choosing non Giro riders opens the chance to pick cheaper riders, and picking cheaper riders means more points available to buy expensive GC contenders...

we should just check if the non Giro riders are cheaper than the less expensive riders of the Giro...

There should be a general rule that you must pick 9 riders from X cycling list on X date whether it be Cycling Fever or whatever and then your team is fine. Frustrating when the lists are wrong and you end up a rider or two short.
