I tried to ensure I had a team that got off to a decent start but I'm sure I'll drop back quickly. Phinney should stay in the lead until the TTT. Hopefully Renshaw doesn't have lead out duties and can score some points in the next few days. I dumped Guardini for Renshaw and I hope that doesn't backfire (although I have him in my 2012 CQ team).

Not off to a good start. It appears I'm dead last with 0 points. And I had Kloden on my Giro team. And since he's not riding, that may be a handicap for me.

You're the most similar team to mine! Difference between us is Henao, Bruseghin, Sella v Garate, Gadret, Roessler

Seems Armchair and I (and a couple more) went with the same strategy (ie Roessler - if he just finishes the Giro he'll infinitely better his price/score)

Rosseler was fairly incidental to my tactics: I care very little whether 5 members of my squad score at all: they were simply cheap purchases to allow me to take 4 GC contenders (Krerusiger, Rujano, Basso and Hesjedal). There are as many stages that will be contested by the GC guys as sprinters' stages, so I decided to ignore the latter. Pirazzi and Boonet will be sufficiently proud of minor sprint placings that they might keep pedalling when those for whom anything other than a podium is of no interest have sat up, and might pick up minor points.

One has Kloden, the other has Quintana, I have Thomas Dekker


Apparently Quintana was switched out shortly before the Giro for some other rider who had performed well in some Spanish race. If not, I had picked him originally as well, but fortunately I saw in time. I didn't see Dekker had a knee injury in time though

Yeah I didn't pick him for points, I was just joking at the DIV/0 return if he gets the 5 points from finishing. My reasons are the same, to allow me to pick 4 top GC guys, plus 2 midpriced GC guys and 2 other dirt cheap options.

BTW I had to delete non-participating riders from the Giro list as their scores from other races where showing up and messing up the results so some teams now have just 8 riders.

Hard to tell.
See how he goes on home soil.

Obviously, those who spent all their money on 3 or 4 riders and hang the rest have picked the right strategy.
Those of us who wasted our time trying to pick 9 "worthwhile" points scorers, were barking up the wrong tree.

3000 points come TDF, will mean we'll all be picking the same 2 riders!
