Stupid, stupid, stupid. Everyone else sat on and let the domestiques set a reasonable pace. Of course Rujano got the idea pretty quickly, but must've been spent in the end. Unless he got that corner wrong at 1500 to go.

i might give another ryo answer but really it was a positioning thing.you could have seen both sella and rujano were placed way too behind before making it to the right on the final kick.it wasn't anything about energy left.but we'll see tomorrow, nothing to worry about for now.
he stayed at the front just to made clear who the boss is.really guys check the final week.check cortina d'ampezzo stage, check cervinia, check pampeago.
if you are in huge monster form like i suspect both rujano and pozzovivo are,22 seconds that's nothing.

Only in stages where some pussies don't dare to start ;)

Anyway, good stage. At least for the final 5km. Nice win for Tiralongo, he doesn't win a lot, but when he wins it's the jackpot.

Hm, looks like the gap between Ivan and Michele was about 20-25 sec, now it is only 14, hence there are no bonuses actually.

Wow! The stage is off sticky and I've only just watched the finish.
I enjoyed that better that any Montevergine mumble.

Good to see that Frank Schleck was, in fact, vacationing on Berto's beach.:)
Means that just about all the "contenders" are actually up for it and in decent nick.
Nice to see Nieve looks fine, too.

The Androids? A confusion of climbers?
Rujano losing 40+ seconds to Scarponi on the weakest Giro MTF is unacceptable, given he stuck his nose into the wind when he didn't need to.

I sense this could well end up another Giro of the intermediate years, for the enigmatic Venezuelan.

stage was not interesting except for the climb and the finish and in the end that's where it's all about...who wins and how :D

Riding on the front was stupid, but if there was going to be a MTF where Scarponi put time into Rujano, this was going to be it. Positioning much more important, flat at the end. Did anyone see where Rujano started to drop back?

I love Andy, you know I do, but on a day like today he would have sat at the back of the Kreuziger group and later say the Giro is not decided by 8 seconds. So it's nice to see Fränk battling it out at the front, seems like he is actually motivated and has the legs to do well

Ah, Frank was pedaling so easily that I even felt vertigo from satisfaction. :) If Frank wins the Giro and Andy - the Tour this year I will have nothing to dream of in cycling regarding foreign riders. :D

I can`t really understand all this complaining at the forum about boring stages and races. The cycling has not changed that much in the recent years. Why do you bother to watch all this boredom, that you do? :)

Only one doesn't lose those 22secs in the first place when in monster form. Maybe he will be in such shape come the third week, but sadly Im beginning to doubt his chances.

Frank winning the Giro wouldn't be so bad, Andy winning the Tour however.

Rather see frank than Scarponi, but too many riders I'd much rather win it, than Frank

Hehe, I think it wouldn't be the worst. If it happens, probably the forum will be exploded because so much negative fluids and deliberate rooting against will be wasted in vain.

Well, Frank better show himself to be a superior climber than he ever has before. Otherwise he'll find out how hard a Giro is to win the third week. Trust me.

If he is in great form, he'll manage just fine. You're talking as if the Tour has lesser climbers lol. I was only speaking in jest when I said Frank is going to win anyway.
