Frankly if people are going to lay into Ryo for his Rujano-hype (ignoring the fact that his Henao predictions seem to be right on the money), then laying into the Kreuziger lovers who assured us he could podium this Giro seems reasonable.

This exactly.

Kreuziger is actually showing some grit here. He doesn't have the legs to hold on but he's fighting for every yard.

I really don't understand sneering at riders who crack.

Caruso is absolutely killing it on the front.

EDIT: I feel for Roman. He's a long way from the finish line and he looks like he has nothing left.

Someone claimign to be a podium contender. And even saying last weekend he lost some seconds 'on purpose' and that was 'the plan'... Then cracking up is hilarious to me, yes. Serves him right. Also for saying in this stage nothing will happen and Astana won't attack... coward rider.

Go Tiralongo :)

It because of the massive hype about him. If Oliviera cracks then nothing, but no one ever said, that he could podium in the Giro.

Who's the Farnese guy at the front? Auditioning for Liquigas contract in 2013?

Francesco Failli, and he's doing it to get max GPM points to protect Rabottini's lead in that classification.
