Universal Sports has embodiment of the ugly American, Bob Roll, doing the commentating. Luckily, I can listen to the British Eurosport commentators and watch Universal on mute.

Stupid Roll muppet.

Would be interesting to hear what they have to say about the Giro though, considering it goes against their TDF is everything mentality, and also against TOC.

Will they take the cycling news route of saying that the Giro is crap and Cali rocks

Out of interest, what channel would this be on in Norway? A main channel or cable?

It's on TV2, one of two main channels, the other one is NRK which is the Norwegian BBC so to speak. Everyone have both channels.

Also why isnt the main 1 - geelong, in there.

The WC was on NRK, so other commentators.

NBC priorities are with Cali for sure. No Giro coverage on main cable station (NBC Sports) but tomorrow they are showing a Tour of California preview special

I'm really looking forward to seeing Navardauskas in the remaining stages. He looks to be in amazing form and is good on every terrain. Hopefully Garmin won't make him burn all his energy at riding on the front for Farrar.

with Pinotti on course- we're about to see the favorites start to appear...
BTW- how come Hushov has more attention than Ballan?

I was surprised not to see Arroyo on the Movistar startlist.... anyone know why he is not participating?

Could have something to do with the fact that Hushovd has won prologues in almost every major stage race. He might not be in great form, but never underestimate him on a technical 8 km prologue.

a pox on universal sports! not because of bob rolll...because since the pair of brain-dead four year olds redesigned the universal sports website, i and legions of other subscribers to the spring package ($40 us) including THE giro - cannot view our libraries OR any website videos...or the giro.

thank goodness for eurosport!
