savio is always a down to earth man and that apology is logical

Something tells me Savio will be having a stern talk with his rider tonight. The move and Ferrari's arrogant responses afteward were unacceptable, obviously dangerous, and reflect poorly on the team and its sponsors. The team manager, at least, is no fool.

I can't stand Cav but I'm on his side here. Doesn't make him not a ****** or not guilty of stuff in the past but Ferrari should be out. I'd like to see one of the guys on Sky thats bigger than Cav to dish out a little justice. Convenient that that could anyone from Henoa and Uran on up.

<s>Uran lost 1'30" today?</s>

caught behind the crash, I guess.

If that were the case, like Phinney he would've been given the same time as everyone who avoided or was in front of the crash. He had to have had some type of mechanical prior to the crash or been involved in another crash earlier if he lost time like that.

Edit: Stefrees already responded with same reasoning much earlier.

Because he's a jerk. Shown many times in interviews, his actions on the road and the opinions of some of his colleges(not to be confused with team-mates). And I'm not just talking about interviews 5 minutes after a race, but interviews at any given time or day.

To give you one example of many:

When Cavendish got dropped at Gent-Wevelgem after the final ascent of the Kemmelberg, he had the guts to complain on twitter that someone was stupid enough to leave a gap on the descent of the Kemmelberg while being in the top 30 and acted like that was the only reason he lost the race. You know who was behind Cavendish on that descent? Rojas. Where did he end up? At the front of the race, unlike Cavendish.

Cavendish always finds someone else to lay the blame at, but never him self... It's pathetic. As someone else said here: he's a great winner, but he'll never be a great champion. And if you want another example then I suggest you take a look at his interview made right after his victory at Milan-San Remo. Down right sad. What a little baby he was there.

All this has nothing to do with nationality.

Despite all of this, I don't actually hate Cavendish though. I merely dislike the fellow.

Shouldn't Savio (and especially Ferrari) be apologizing to all the riders that crashed as result of Ferrari's deviation, not just Cavendish or was Cav the only rider that was injured?

Do you have a link to the MSR interview? I assume you don't mean this one:

While you're at it, have you found that mythical video of Cav saying he would have beaten Boonen at GW yet?

Just a bit one sided, funny that. There's also the many times he's praised his team for the work they'd done, said he had to get a win to pay them back for this work, and blamed himself for failure. The speech he did when receiving the BBC Sportsperson of the Year was great. Of course all of us here are far better cyclists then he ever will be, we can call him `a little baby' after all what has he achieved that we couldn't?

So you hating all British riders with a passion, has absolutely nothing to do with them being British. Its just 1 big coinky dink that with the possible exception of Schleck, the 3 riders you spend most of your time hating on are Geraint Thomas, Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish, and that you also cant find a kind word for Froome and Millar?

I don't like riders combining two sports and trying to make us buy products that don't work(Geraint Thomas) plus I think he's over-rated by some here. I don't like riders who win most of their races in time trials, I'm a fan of cyclists who attack on mountain stages and what not.

As for Froome and Millar, I've almost never said anything about those guys. Don't confuse me with Liberty's hate on Froome ;)

Everyone here knows I'm not a big fan of time trial specialists and sprinters. Guess what cyclists the British have all been developing? ;)

Seriously, the stupid things you can post sometimes. I'm not forced to say kind things about David Millar, even though I'm sure I've done that.

Yet you love Levi Leipheimer, but absolutely despise Wiggins.

Ferrari is clearly negligent here and frankly I am surprised at those speeds that only 2 guys appeared to go down hard as a result. I think we are fortunate that no one has serious injuries.

Cavendish is so predictable. Doesn't he have a press agent by now who tells him to shut his mouth? He is in a somewhat rare position to take the high ground and yet he still has to say everything he thinks. Will he ever learn? Then again, hate it or love it, but that very attitude is is a big part of why he is faster than everyone else.

Just got to watch the final sprint, and yeah that's one of the worst pieces of 'sprinting' from Ferrari I have ever seen.

I have seen some bad ones in my time, but that took the biscuit. (and gravy and sides.)

The relegation and fine is a joke punishment.

Seriously? Boonen says Cav can't climb, so Cav says he enjoyed passing Boonen on a climb. What a monster.

Only problem is, Boonen never said that. Oh, and the best moment was not winning the race, do you really believe that crap?

An interviewer asked Boonen what he thought about Cav at T-A and he said that he was dropped on every hill during the race(which he was), so he had doubts that he'd survive the Poggio. He made a fair statement and Cav was acting like a big baby.

Cavendish later apologized to him, so at least he learned from it. ;)

At least Cav is at the finish to give El P something to talk endlessly about.
Did Gianni Meersman manage to catch his flight?
If he did, it's the first thing he's caught, this week.

Seriously, why do you care what El P thinks about Cav, or anything related to cycling for that matter?

Shocking switch by Ferrari. I've no doubt he didn't see Cav but a major no no regardless. Should be some interesting rest day interviews plus a big apology from Ferrari I bet.

I "love" Levi because people on this forum were going ballistic on the Tour de Suisse thread when he won the race. ;)

Besides, he actually does attack during races. It's not because it's on American soil that it doesn't count. ;) I would advise you follow him a bit more.

Unlike you, I liked Levi before he joined a Belgian team;)

Then why was I glad he won the race at Tour of Suisse?(I'm sure you'll be digging through my posts to find that out) ;)

Your trolling is getting pathetic Hitch. Let me guess, I already knew there that he would sign for Quick Step.

Relax. As the ";)" indicates was joking with you there. just like you were joking when you told me to actually watch Levi.

Or i assume you were joking considering that in arguments with others in the past you identified me as a Levi fan.
