I would like him to skip the Tour as well, so he can have a long rest, before riding Vuelta and autumn classics.

you are actually making a very good point and one that i would prefer to be honest. he will prolly learn a lot on the ardennes next year and use what he learned on the autumn classics and the hilly worlds of next year, using the vuelta as a prep race ofc

Also the autumn classics fits quite well with his abilities, so if he can enter them fresh and in good form, I could definitely see him wining a classic and/or maybe even GdL:)

if he improves his endurance and climbing a bit more i could certainly see him contend for some autumn classics but with the new date for the GdL a lot of top dogs that usually aren't, will be in top form there so it would be very hard to win it.

I don't know about Lombardia (too much climbs for him I think) but races like the Giro d'Emillia, Piemonte or the Triptico may be reachable for him. Although it may depend on what Visconti will be doing of course since he will probably want to lead in those races.

I totally agree with that idea. Him, Paulinho and Cardosso would make for good attacking at the WC RR as well.

Yeah Andre sry. Manuel might do a little sprint at the end.

This guy made some really nices WC in 2009 and 2010.
I don't know him well.
Whats is he good at? Mountain or classics?

May be he can be a top 10 surprise in next year Vuelta if Caja Rural gets invited, and shine again in the Worlds'

Mountains and mountains only. He is a brutal climber, witness him shred the field in this and the following sections of video, and has shown good ability to deal with distance, being there at the end of the WC in '09 and '10, first Continental rider home.

However, his time trial is worse than J-Rod's.

the way he drops every1 bar david blanco with a head wind its epic. i have big hopes for him now that he is on a good team and will be able to reach the worlds with some race days in his legs, and also do the vuelta.

In July? Because of the Olympics?

Tour de Wallonie:

2007: 28/7 - 1/8
2008: 26/7 - 30/7
2009: 25/7 - 29/7
2010: 24/7 - 28/7
2011: 23/7 - 27/7

Creeping slightly earlier this year, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Yeah, I always thought it was slightly later. But it's after the Tour and before Poland, so it kind of has to be in this time slot ;)

It's a pity that riders who do the Giro and then plan to do the Vuelta this year have to do the Olympics ( arrive in top shape ) and then go to the Vuelta. It's the equivalent of doing the Giro, TDF and Vuelta.
Any idea TSF on what Uran, Froome, Wiggins and Portes', schedules are like for next year.
For me it would be;
Uran focusing on the Ardeens, then the TDF
Wiggins doing the same prep for the TDF as this year. He will then do the Olympics.
Froome might go to the Dauphinie as well to fine-tune/ see whether his standard is good enough.
I then hope Porte goes to the ToC, so he can win a ( GT ) jks. That will give him confidence, let him be away from other team leaders and see whether he has the goods to be a GC contender in future.

They'll probably make him wait again if somebody crashes.
With Froome's Vuelta, Uran'll be probably be third in line.
Even though, Ryo will just deny it.

I hope Uran focusses on the Ardennes and then goes for the Giro.
With the TT in the Tour and the other teamleaders in his team, I think the Giro would suit him better.
Although I don't think he will grow into a GT winner eventually

for the 5,043rd time on this forum - Uran wasn't told to wait. He chose to wait.
