Chavanel to get in the break because none of the main contenders will be that bothered about him gaining time. Then they wont be bothered to chase him down either and he takes yellow like on the second saturday in 2010. Maybe Dan Martin goes for the stage win to raise some cheer in the Garmin ranks.

who will finish higher up?

Gesink or Brajkovic

Gesink is alot shorter odds however Brajkovic said this stage suits him.

Gesink's hurting, not sure if Jani was hurt or not. I'd go with Brajkovic

sure but if Valverde, Gesink can gap Wiggins, Evans 30s, their GC ambition will be live again. Those GC contenders who crashed today have nothing to lose on any mountain stages they have to try something crazy to salvage their GC hope. I am looking forward to seeing some fireworks in the future stages including tomorrow.
It would nice to think that some positives could come out of today and the possiblity of the GC contenders who lost time today going for it tomorrow and the rest of the tour would bring the race to life. Westra gained a lot of time in one stage at the Giro to move into 3rd, so is it possible that someone in the Tour could make up some large time gaps in a similar style. That would write the smugness off the face of Evans and Wiggins.

most of the gc contender who were involved in the fall today tomorrow will be in bad condition, they have no time to recover.
so , gesink, rolland and the others with the worst consequences will probably lose more time tomorrow instead of attacking.

it looks like brajkovic, scarponi and mollema are in good condition , valverde i do not know, gesink and rolland in bad conditions and probably they will just try to limit the gap.
the info are too uncertain to guess who will be able to fight without too much handicaps

did you see avondetappe?

looked like Gesink was actually in decent condition. But i think all of them will do bad. Mollema looked worse actually

Could be good. Wiggo has looked strong on the steep stuff overcoming some unfortunate positioning, but hopefully he'll show relative weakness tomorrow to make this Tour a little exciting, because judging by his prologue he'll murder the first TT. I'm gonna say Menchov ftw and yellow, then Evans and Valverde right behind (Valverde outkicking Evans as always).
