Zabriskie's last minute effort during yesterday's stage seemed like a good preparation for him today. Well done Zabriskie

Is Gesink usually a better climber than TJVG? I thought TJ was pretty solid there too. I'd call the two of them the favorites now. Leipheimer is in striking distance but his performance indicates he's off form somewhat, so I doubt many people think he can close the gap. Horner shot himself in the foot today.

What about Nibali? He can be a huge climber. I don't know if he came to California to win though or just to prep. Anyone know?

TJVG has zero chance of being anywhere near Gesink on a climb if the latter has any kind of climbing form.

Lol, did I just hear Phil&Paul say Zabriskie might win the GC?

I wouldn't be surprised if he hangs on tomorrow, but I got to think desperate guys like horner will force the non pure climbers out of the race early at baldy.

I doubt it, unless TJVG and Talansky are ineligible.

They are ineligible. But Durbridge got it. AS I just said

Alright, alright... agreed. Short memory for me with regards to Gesink I guess... We'll see how Gesink's climbing form is soon.

Anyone betting that Horner can make up 2:10 on Gesink? ;)

Under 23 is the Young Rider, not -25. :)

Ah, so after tomorrow it will be on Kelderman's shoulders? :)

They are, but still Durbridge will get it. In the end, it's probably for Kelderman.

Ah, in that case you are probably right. Kelderman should be able to put a minute into those guys, unless of course his duties for Gesink kill him which is a possibility.

I love how Voigt got massive cheers. Jens Rules!

I sure hope these guys are motivated enough to make the race hard enough to split tomorrow even with the neutralized finish.

Not tomorrow, tomorrow is that crap stage that was announced as the queen stage a couple of years ago and then resulted in a bunch sprint.

Not unless Gesink is crappy uphill. If Gesink is in good climbing form Horner has to be absolutely top to stay with him or drop him.

Again, it all depends on Gesink's climbing form. If he's around his old level Horner can forget it, he'd do well not to lose even more time.

On paper they should be the two best climbers in the race. That's just too much time for one to put in the other unless the weaker of the two is way off form or not really trying.

Take that bet against Horner. Give you even 1:3 odds
