Pollen Allergies?

Contador was 3th in FW with pollen allergies.

I'm glad he pretends to have faith to give us some hope but we know better...

Let's see how his climbing is tomorrow, i don't think i'll be able to watch it though :(

If he's really 2 minutes worse than Froome on the first TT in the TDF, he will not have the legs to achieve anything amazing in the mountains (even if he tries crazy attacks).

Smiling Contador after #Dauphine TT. "I didn't have the legs, so I rode the first half on power, the second on cadence. I'll keep working."

BS

well at least he said something other than allergy or other freaking illness :p. His teammate already left home with fever.. Look at the bright side. He said he didn't have the legs...

it happened before.

But wouldn't he suffer this time of year each year then? He seems to have done OKish in earlier years at this time of year

sky had the only training camp with +5 TT and +5 CL bonusses. The rest clearly forgot to plan these camps /pcm-style

Don't think any of the Sky times are than impressive. Just that Contador was awful.

The names around Froome & Porte are not people you would expect to beat Froome and Porte - if anything I would expect a little more from them.

No he wont. But on the bright side Contador is known to be able to get in shape super fast, so doing well in the Tour is not totally out of the picture. But there is a long way to go.

Yep agree. But Froome and Porte shouldn't be 100% yet so they seem to be on the right track. But yeah they weren't great - just Bertie who was awful

it's been raining so much this spring that pollen does not interfere. These are the first few days in the plain without recent rain I guess.
But AC had a duff saddle today too.

Maybe he needs to go sit on a beach. Seems to help

The only thing I can say is maybe this is still part of Riis' approach (versus Contador's old approach). So far I'm not all that impressed with Riis' approach.

We can surely expect some fireworks from SKY tomorrow, no doubt the dawg want to test AC in the mountains as well.

Saxo got some work to do...a lot.

Yeah, struggling in Morzine one day and then able to follow Schleck and put minutes on the rest except Sanchez 2 days later.

The man is a miracle

Sky will probably just set the pace in the final climb, maybe with Froome attacking with 2k to go. I don't expect anything crazy from them, no need to either.

A simple intrigue is if Froome will want to kill everyone tomorrow. I suppose he's eager debunk the train myth and will go full blast.

Yeah, evil fate catches some fans. Probably this suckout hadn't happened if you couldn't have celebrated Wiggins' failure so loudly.

Again bull****. He wouldn't suck this much.

If you can't breathe properly obviously it has to have a big effect. So he has a bad day. He's human. Wiggins has a bad day people laugh. Contador has a bad day people get angry. Worst time of the year for allergies. Still 5 weeks till week three of the Tour. Maybe Contador has been doing all mountain training. Most of the GC riders did poorly.

Tbh, apart from Kreuzigers win in AGR, Saxo's season has been bad. Riis had been rather absent from the team due to all the doping talk since Tyler's book. I think that is a part of what we are seeing. But really not team should rely that much on one individual.

I wonder if Saxo and Tinkoff will prolong their sponsorships. Both run out at the end of the year.
