How can you see the AC fans and not notice the Sky fans?

Tank91 reasons quite rationally. I wouldn't call this pro sky bias. DT is obviously not a sky fan. so is the hitch

I seem to recall most of that minute was gained on the flat section when valverde et al were looking at each other and soft peddling
you know what, the huge gaps of the bad old dirty days were often caused by that too. Perhaps more, since back then teams were less dominant and leaders used to be all alone earlier.

Who said that?

It was obviously before the vuelta that froome would struggle cos he had just done the tour and it wasn't even a major season aim for him. Here on the other hand froome has based his entire season around the tour.

In the opening days of Vuelta 12, two work colleagues(i stay in Britain) told me Froome would, and i quote "Annihilate Contador" They then switched halfway through to Purito has it in the bag, Contador has no chance with his time away from competitive racing,Sky seems to inspire these sort of comments. Why do these people not temper their views more.I cant be bothered going through the pre-Giro thread to pull out examples but its in there, sweeping statements of Sky dominance that turns out to be pure garbage.

I suspect Froome will win the Tour but he doesnt "own" Contador, maybe if he had more GT wins than him we could make comparisons over their respective palmares but not yet.The "own" remarks today are a few pages back in this thread.

Anyone who counters the anti-sky hysteria with some boring facts is immediately labelled a 'skyboy' or somesuch

^ Guy who said it's not the bad old days and people can't attack from more than a couple of kilometers out anymore and then changes his mind when Froome did it in CI.

today until the final two kms, we have three Sky guys, followed by three Saxo boys followed by two Cofidis blokes. And if Movistar played along nicely they would have been three as well.

No wonder these stages ends in a sprint to the line.

well that's what I meant.
Again, I'm not saying Froome didn't do the right thing. I just said it's not impressive. It's a sprint.

Alberto doesn't know how to sit on a tt bike?

Are you saying Alberto wouldn't have beaten Alberto had Andy been less lazy?

Because he looks to be trolling this forum since, lets say, almost a year ago? When Andy fell on his behind that is.

Such an oak conservator like you simply can't handle different opinions. Apparently your sig says about absolute limit of human capacities...

Not sure I agree with this "the win was comfortable" talk. If he was clearly better than others and could've won by much more than 4 seconds, he would've.

Why? The GC-win is confortable at this moment, he did what he had to do to win the stage, it would be a waste of energy to try anything grandiose.

Attacking from maybe 2-3km before the finish is hardly grandiose.

Not at all. This is a prep race. Would have been a test to attack earlier. I reckon hé will try that later on. Today was more or less a sprint

Hé and JRod put little haps into Contador in the vuelta in similar "sprints" within the last km. Didnt mean hé was the strongest. Atm hé is stronger though and I think we will see him test his legs with earlier attacks later on. Prep race after all

But why? Dennis was dropped, he had Porte setting a fast pace. It was up to the rest to try something, Froome was in the drivers seat. He did the least he had to do to gain a stage win, something to give his upcoming victory a little more cachet, but hardly something you are going to over exert yourself over in the face of your real target.
