When will the break be caught? Still 8mins at the moment.
15-20km to go?

If any team wants this to be a hard race, they will be caught earlier. However; there is no clear favorite for this race, and no specific team that on paper would benefit on a hard pace. So I guess thay might survive quite a while yet.

I love the finish though.... one of the best finishes all year IMO

I'm with you. This is the one race of the year that I want to see a sprint finish. I'd hate it if a break stayed away. The finish of this race one of my favorite couple of minutes of cycling of the year.

Gilbert & bmc have some responsibility surely.

Agreed. Nonetheless he's the favourite going into the race.

I don't see how. he s very unsuited to mur in general. only in 2011 he was able to win there. all other years he wasn't close to winning.

When I check this tomorrow (no tv channel showing this Down Under and my net blows the last few months so no livestream for me) Gilbert or Valverde or some Columbian who doesn't ride for Sky better have won. Or Purito...if he is racing after his fall the other day.

Enjoy people.

How can he be unsuited to Mur de Huy when he has done the fastest ascent ever?

what does that matter? in 2011 gilbert was in ridiculous form. he's not anywhere near that so you can just as well forget that ascent

Hope Quintana will attack from the bottom, coz Piti won't attack before 100m to go.I wonder how Henao will do,he looked very good in Amstel despite of crashes:cool:
And of course Saxo fireworks before the Mur;)

How can you just forget it? I think your missing the point, Purito is probably not as strong as last year and Gilbert is much stronger.
