at 40% it will go to the guy who'll manage to stay upon his bike after the crashfest.

He should go to California only to prevent a Sagan anihilation. PleaseWaterloo Sunrise said:Makes sense for Cav - he's used to riding the Giro most years for Tour prep, and the reality is there are very few races outside MSR and Grand Tour stages which have any value for his palmares, so he might as well go for 2 or 3 stages at the Giro rather than pratting around in California or Germany.

Vuelta will still be better for him this year though.
What's the point of moving to Ag2R if he wants to keep doing the Giro? I thought he would go for the Tour. Maybe the Vuelta then. And I'm not sure about all that peaking stuff. Maybe he's just not good enough along the 3 weeks; also he may be a bit overrated as a climber based on some hot performances. A bit like Anton actually after winning a couple of mountain stages in a spectacular way, namely Zoncolan (Nibali and Contador), Andorra (Mosquera, Rodriguez) and Morredero (Soler, Mosquera and Contador).cineteq said:Pozzovivo AG2R's Giro leader. Peterson has a good management, the Berkhout brothers. They can really sell their riders.Dazed and Confused said:Argos better send Degenkolb to the Giro.
Top 20? Who "educates" these riders?

Argos, for instance, wanted an American GC guy for their sponsor Felt. Well, there you go.
