delfino was dropped on the first ramps of sega di ala and in the last kms, he caught a lot of guys, he really motored uphill. it was just training for him
in giro he will be tremendous just like in 2009, full of rage also because in 2010 nobody could have matched his numbers. i tell you, scarponi 2010 giro journey with savio will look like a children's innocent game after what will delfino show in may

Pellizotti was a bit dissapointing in Trentino, his last race before the Giro.

Hesjedal I don't think will podium. Not sure Wiggins will win either.

The only way Hesjedal won't podium is if Gesink or Evans do better than expected. Can't really see anyone else threatening Nibali and Wiggins. Scarponi has showed glimpses recently but can't see it happening for Basso.

I predicted Basso will be very strong for some time now. Still think he's on track. Basso is the ultimate trough - peak rider. Podium could be too difficult, but top 5 is doable.

Based on which results? His 'best' stage race was the Giro last year.

Last year the Italians were embarrassing in the Giro (well the two key guys were), it will not happen this year. Its a prediction.

Scarponi was better than expected in LBL and Niemiec will be a great lieutenant for him if he's not just riding for himself. Evans is also being underrated for a GT. Because he's older ppl are jumping the gun by saying he's done.

Who will beat Hesjedal for the podium? Evans is not looking as bad as before, but Hesjedal looks really good.

I didn't have 1 rider in mind, but if not a Scarponi or Evans who have been GT leaders for way longer than Hesjedal, there are all the younger guys coming up like Betancur, Henao, Santambrogio, Intxausti.

A lot can happen in a GT, just on gut I can't see Ryder putting up a solid defence.

x20-30 you could get. however in beginning of the weke the odds were x60 and same for henao and spilak x150.

Sivtsov @ Trentino:

So Sivtsov is riding the Giro. I don't think Cycling Fever has the right team.
