I hope he changes his mind, as this has been a flattish Giro. Taking on the Skyborgs and the Spanish armada is a can't miss competition.
Last year was a flattish Tour and we all saw how Froome was in the Vuelta.

The competition Nibali can't miss is the Worlds in Italy.

So we will be able to see the whole climb if we don't care for it being "live"(very overrated) right? Or will there not be highlights either?

You are wishful thinking. Prepare for the worst.

Im not so sure, it has a few stages that have been good but the race will be won on atrition. I mean MTF are not everything but we had had 2 good MTF bye now in the TDF we have had 1 so. I dont get your idea about rain rain and more rain has been good.

Where did I ever say that?

And the 2012 Tour was one of the worst races ever in terms of excitement, was like watching pain dry. It pales in comparison to what we have seen this Giro, even with some stages being altered.

Giro is a joke an absolout joke why even tune in tommorow a frigging joke what a shocking race.

Are you serious? The truth of the matter is The Giro should be held in July and the Tour in May. The ASO feel they only need to spend a few days in the mountains anyway, whereas the the Giro spends about half the time in the mountains so it being held during July would allow everyone to see the amazing ascents and descents that Italy has to offer.

The should turn tomorrow's stage into a MTT.

And have the MTT that's scheduled next week turn into a MTF.

Bad idea?

A Telegraphe MTT? I'd dig that.

The other MTT starts in a city at the base of the climb, though. It'd take some tricky negotiations to take the start away from there.

I agree, this is awful. A race that's not on tv doesn't even happen as far as I'm concerned.

And no, I don't give a **** about watching the recorded pictures after I already know what happened.

What the actual f do you wan't them to do?

This sport is privileged enough to be able to ride in nature. In the wild, rough nature. When it occasionally happens, and let's be honest - it's not damn often, that nature won't have it there's not much to do about. Whining won't help anything. That's for sure.

Seems like EVERY Tour MTF is unridable right now, we'd probably have 21 flat stages with that idea....

yes but I don't see why people need to get all upset about it, it is what it is. life goes on......

Ok this is a good response its just frustrating when we know have to wait 5-6 days for a MTF live, and tommorow's stage is a joke. This race has been won in the first week that should not be the case you can lose it but you cant win it.

This has potential for a Roche style surprise appearance near the end - hope it isn't ruined by occasional updates - if they can't do pictures just make the whole thing secret until it finishes - with weather like this there could easily be some shock weak performances from the top 10.
