Just drove the TTT course. Everybody was a bit speechless by the time we got through w/it! Gonna be a spectacle, but incredibly difficult!!!

Pretty crazy that the teams weren't able to recon this extremely technical course before today. I guess that's part of the charm of the Giro!

Hmmm, might be harder than people think i.e. the gaps here might be quite big.

Looking forward to it.

So Greenedge probably wasn't the best pick for the win, especially as Howard has said after the recon that they aren't expecting a top result. ;)

sounds like some team is going to have an accident and lose big time here.

Yes, and for this reason I expect Sky for instance to play it safe which could result in a reasonably big time loss.

3. Brad putting a bit of time into his GC rivals.
4. Half of the CN forum wetting themselves, again, at the complete injustice of it all, when Brad does the aforementioned.

Strange logic. Wiggins would have gotten more time in a prologue than he will in a ttt. Thus to try and sell those anti ttt as being motivated by a fear that Wiggins will win time, is stupid.

They did, AFAIK, just not with the barriers put up and everything.

You're the one obsessed with TTT. He is not talking about comparing TTT and prologue in the slightest.

he quite clearly is talking about the ttt. He's saying that the people complaining about ttts are motivated by a hatred of Wiggins. A quite common tactic from the ttt side for years to try and reduce the arguments of those who oppose the event, to a question of riders they like losing time.

He may not have mentioned a prologue but what do gts tend to have on an opening weekend aside from a sprint stage if not a ttt?

I'd say it's a very relevant observation that since without a ttt there would be a prologue, and that favors Wiggins, his assumption is incorrect.
