I didn't partake in the Blanco bashing in this thread. I just said Kruijswijk caused the crash. I only bash Gesink when the situation calls for it. Not here, as he did nothing wrong.

Other riders may have caused other crashes but once again that's not relevant to Scarponi. He only lost time because of that one rider.

He lost time because his bike broke and had to wait for a replacement. Did kruijswijk break scarred pony's bike? Gesink crashed also, but didn't have a mechanical, and so he ended in the same group.

Even if he caused the crash, you can't infer that he is responsible for the time loss. Call it luck or from scarred pony's perspective, bad luck.

Note BMC managed to place three guys high on the stage. The team look ready to support Evans too. Early days of course.

Surely that was because they had to as a team pull Evans up to the group as he was dropped, most of the other teams domestiques just sat up to save their legs once the main group got away, and by the times Evans got back to the group it wasn't going that hard any more...

If not for Kruijswijk nothing would have happened to the riders in the front group, IMO. That's all I meant. Obviously Scarponi's instinctive reaction was the wrong one and he had additional bad luck, but I didn't think I had to point that out.

Like a club run in the peloton and the gap still coming down.
Be tough to put together a 4 man group with less chance of staying away.

Wet cobbles, my money is on a few carrots going down, with less sliding than peruad has going over finish line in Romandie.
