Its very cruel of some posters here wishing cancellara would crash so that the race is more open. Crashes arent funny nor do they create a better race.
and anyhow it wasnt like boonen had that big of competition last year.

Too bad Ballan won't be there as BMC would have more options.

Sure, if sitting on people's wheel is an option. Not sure why Hushovdt dnfd last weekend, he looked to be in OK position at one stage so I agree that he might have some form but be saving himself for Sunday.

if Cancellara is riding like a runaway train, most people would be sitting on his wheel. Ballan does not wheel suck more than anyone else but he can't sprint so when someone like Cancellara is stronger, he does not have many options. He did try and attack Boonen at Flanders last year but Boonen was too good that day as he was at Roubaix.

Well it is his race for the Spring but I just think Phinney might be stronger at this stage.
Last year, Hushovd was terrible all year but still finished 14th in PR. This year he has at least shown glimpses of form, so he'll be up there if he's not sick and drops out.

Hushovd said for the norwegian tv2 after Flandern his legs was fine, but it was like breathing through a straw so maybe he got a cold or something. He was ****ed off, at least that was what he said (he did not look very ****ed off), for not getting out the potential in the spring classics so far this season.

People like EBH, Van Avermaet, Haussler and Paolini have no place on that poll ahead of guys like Vansummeren, Boom and Flecha.

well said. Haussler certainly not worthy of being in there. All we have heard from him is him complaining, as usual.
Why doesnt he stick his nose in the wind a bit more. and accept other teams racing tactics.
He is a washed up has been from an era that quite frankly, is a write off for credible results in many circumstances. Time to put on the slippers, get a pipe and retire along with his boring team. Look at Europcar for inspiration.

Stannard/Hayman may throw some surprises into the mix, providing the Team Sky management get it into the riders who they are riding for.

Also, Flecha.... shown nothing this season, neither has Vansummeren.

I dont know why but I have woken up and put a tenner on André Greipel! And I am hedging this (actually not cos its even less likely to come in) with a fiver on Devolder. . . .. . . . . exciting

Haussler have better results on cobbles this season than whole Europcar (which is actually Turgot only).

Let's hope a few teams have the guts to send some strong riders up the road from far out, like Ballan and Flecha tried to do last year, and force Radioshack to work early on.

Obviously you did not watch Ghent Wevelgem where Haussler worked hard along with Sagan and his team mates. Cancellara does not complain ? Yes Europcar have been incredibly successful this year. Rolland might win a non Pro Tour race in France. Wow.
