Why was my title changed?

because in the future when people try to search for this thread having a proper name will make it easier, simple as that

Then I would say that perhaps you were unlucky, however no accident is the same and it is futile to compare (or jump to dramatics and call BS on someone). I've had a harder fall and was (relativity) quick to jump up with no more than mild embarrassment and a little anger yet I've seen people go down on a slip and not be able to continue their ride.

For Fabian's sake I hope that he's brushed this off and it will be of no consequence come Sunday.

If you watched the video, you saw the Swiss dude indicating his shoulder hurt pretty badly. He didn't get back up and jump on a bike for a reason.

I saw the video and I've heard Fabian say that he hurt his left hip and elbow and as I said I hope for him that it will not be bothering him on Sunday.

As a seasoned rider I doubt this will have much effect on him mentally, may even be of psychological advantage, but if he were to crash again these minor issues may start to have an accumulative effect.

As for EBH, he will "die" trying to hold the wheel of the big guns and finish 35th. But its better to try and fail, than not try at all.
It'd be better to attack early and fail than to be so stupid to think that he can follow Cancellara...;)

I think Cancellara will set his attack as early as possible. As soon as he has one minute, his team car is with him, so bike change goes pretty quickly if he has a mechanical, which you never can count out, especially not in this race.

The other two podium spots are quite open. In case that the cobbles should be dry, there are so many riders who will aim for a podium spot this time, and they are all pretty much on the same level. Ladagnous´ chances aren´t smaller than Pozzato´s, for example.
Last year, four Sky riders failed to chase down Boonen, let´s see how many of them might fail to chase down Cancellara this time.
Normally, Stannard, Thomas, Eisel, Boasson Hagen and Hayman should search Cancellaras wheel from km 0 and never give him one single meter of advantage. As soon as he has one meter, he´s gone. On the tarmac sections, they should be able to handle this, but on the 4 and 5 star pavés, it seems extremely hard to do.

Select group gets away, including Boom Stannard and Phinney, all the "usual" favourites in second group look at spartacus too do the chasing....he calls their bluff. The three mentioned above are left at the end too fight for win,Boom takes it.
Ok the names might change but this is how I see it playing out,no win for Cancellara.

Assuming he has no problems following his 2 mid-week crashes, Cancellara is my pick.

Would love to see Phinney win though.

Of course, a wet day would be a lottery.

But please, not a Skyborg, the CN extension of their PR room would be insufferable.

Seems like Phinney is the second most popular vote, despite not being named in the poll

Phinney FTW!

Haussler have better results on cobbles this season than whole Europcar (which is actually Turgot only).
but who rides at the front of the races? EUROPCAR. they don't hide and complain like a spoilt brat.

Obviously you did not watch Ghent Wevelgem where Haussler worked hard along with Sagan and his team mates. Cancellara does not complain ? Yes Europcar have been incredibly successful this year. Rolland might win a non Pro Tour race in France. Wow.
he may of worked hard, he is the team leader and mouthing off how he is the greatest etc. Cancellara has a right to complain, people will not work with him. they sit on his wheel as they know he is incredibly strong.
At least Rolland will win a race, also, cast your mind back to the Paris-Nice prologue. MUG.

Yup.

Looked up the weather forecast, sunny and 50 degrees in roubaix. Too bad, I really love the wet editions.

Would be good to see Taylor win.

Phinneys time and chances will come.

If Cancellara doesnt win, I'd rather a good challenger from previous years gets their day in the sun. Someone like flecha.

link for stream for Spartacus attack with Phinney on his wheel?

Ha. Never happen. Phinney is not Sagan. But, Phinney could get into a break, as User Guide suggests.

I would like it if Phinney won - that would be good.

This is also the likely result I see - even tho I'm rooting for Canc. He's just been too well marked. I think all the stars and planets were in the right place for Canc last week.

Very good, smart move by BMC there. Glad that even they can see it's time to start giving the young guys more opportunities to lead. :)

Just read that EBH havent been training properly since february, due to a knee injury. He told norwegian media that the pain is gone now after the flanders and he is looking forward to PR tomorrow.

That just show how much talent this guy has, when he hasnt been training properly since february and still has done some decent races the last couple of weeks.

What do people think about Kristoff? With his results this season he could be a top favourite, but he's never done anything in PR and it's a specialist's race.

Speaking of which I reckon Hayman will again be Sky's highest placed rider, and Flecha will be top 5.

Problem is Hagen has too many of these kind of problems. He's becoming the Gesink of the cobbled classics. Always ill, sick or injured

Nah, Gesink level in GT's(6th spot) is even better compared to Hagen's low top 20's in cobbled classics. Both could be a domestique next year though.
