On the other hand at least in theory he should be able to stay with the main group a lot longer than Cavendish, Rowe and co.

Maybe he will be used later on.

Yes, Froome should in theory have a better chance, but racing on the front from the start is still not the way to do it

Froome will be on immediate post TDF peak in Rio. On this years form, no one else will stand a chance.
