Klöden and Gallopin are the RSLT that went down, according to the team twitter both have a lot of road rash and will be checked for more serious injury.

So... you're okay with the yellow jersey dropping on a 4th cat?

Erm, sorry, Cav's better than that. A 3rd cat?

How do you get to define "honoring" the yellow jersey? You think someone in yellow just gives up? Must be a huge disappointment for you watching the leader's jersey change hands in GTs.

Surely the stage should have been neutralised ? Pushing the finish back to a point with a roundabout just after was crackers.
Simpe technical reason, there is a timing system at this point to take times on the 3 km mark

Even without the bus trouble there were going to be crashes. Narrow roads in the last 3kms and first stage with everyone wanting yellow. Expect a prologue next year on wide flat roads.

It happened for years when there were bonus seconds at the finish and sprinters got yellow regularly. I honestly don't see the problem.
Yeah, well... I'd hate to think I was the only one who did.

Look, I'm not saying the yellow should only be worn by GC contenders. All I'm saying is that it doesn't make sense setting up stages that allow it to be worn by riders who who will either not even try to defend it, or simply be incapable to do so when when the road starts going up.

Again, Hushovd in '11 is the standard. Or the multiple Cancellara stints.

I hope Kittel surprises tomorrow and holds on to the jersey. It'd be nice to see Argos showing what they can do.

People in Harrogate will be disappointed to hear that ;)

Then you are saying that yellow should only be worn by GC contenders.

Also, Rui Costa seems to have a nasty bruise in his hand.

So following your logic actually only the final champion should go for yellow because he is the only one who can defend and fight for it to the end.

Kittel is a terrible climber though. They have better odds with Degenkolb tomorrow, esp. if Sagan is hurt.
