who worked to bring back Valverde?

It was never reported who was driving the peloton, but I think Dan Martin's presence (much more so than Valverde's), was what doomed the initial break.

It was Sky who closed the gap to the original break.

Are Sky going to be serious in chasing?

I mean the best placed is 23 min behind. so by the way sky has been acting so far, will they simply let the break take whatever advantage that they want?

Also, any scope for a repeat saxo attack? Roche is up front. Even if they thought of launching a similar attack, do they have the fire power?

Nieve has lost one position already in GC. it will be quite funny if euskatel decided to close the gap.

Come on, Saxo's plan was never to launch an attack from Contador today. It was always about the stage win.

cannondale forming behind the saxo's, maybe they want to try to catch the break? might they get help from other teams?
