Listening to people say how technical it is, Im starting to think Froome wont win this. Murito will do very well.

Contador will get time on the descents if he doesn't crash but he is no nibali and froome is no wiggins.

Mollema could really solidify his 2nd place.

It's not that technical, so far as I can see on quick glance, nobody lost more than a minute on the first descent, and Froome should be able to make up that much time on the climbs and the second descent.

Maybe he doesn't win by much, but he should win.

Check the rulebook. Organizers have some discretion to grant exemption for certain cases.

Some pretty bad thunderstorms at the moment across southernmost parts of the Alps, heavy shower near Alpe d'Huez but not that bad in the Embrun/Chorges area at the moment. Daytime heating could lead to thunderstorms firing up though.
