What differentiates a hunger knock from whatever Froome did up there? (crack maybe?) Honest question.

a hunger knock you lose every ounce of enegry and you basiclaly stand still and don't recover and lose many minutes over few km time. there are rare exceptions in which a rider can still limit losses in hunger flat. rujano comes to mind, but I doubt froome is like that. also froome was sene struggling quintana's earlier counter as well. I think he simply blew

People in those countries also dislike him just as much as you fawn over him. AC seems to either be posters' messiah or Dvarmstrong. He is loved by many, hated by many - both for very obvious reasons.

Yes. Walkman said he isn't popular outside Spain and I tried to prove him wrong.

A female rider was thrown off a race and disqualified for the same thing. The riders were told before the stage started that they would be weighing bikes after the stage.

See Whit Yost twitter feed for bike weighing updates

Chapeau Riblon, fantastic win.

Also congrats for Tejay, that was some fighting up the mountain. Good effort.

bit sad for TJ, he put on a very good ride, shame for that chain problem, he lost time and energyto get back :(

El Pistolero was very few fans in the Spanish Beef industry to this day,
and rightly so.

It was only odd because it's one of the only times in the race he has showed weakness. Porte could have easily ridden away from him.
There's a theory going round that Froome has trained for a 20-25min high power effort for mountain top finishes and today's events are somewhat consistent with that. Froome makes a solo effort to bridge to Rodruigez approximately 21min before he signals he needs to take on more food. If that's the case though, I don't understand why Froome would make his effort 10 mins into a 40min climb? Maybe he thought he could drop Quintana and Rodruigez and take it easy to the top.

May I ask why you dislike Froome?

Mainly for reasons that belong elsewhere....I also dislike UK Postal in its entirety.

I'm pretty p!ssed off despite this having been a grand day's racing - an all round fail by the Dutch, the Belkins reverting back to being Rabos by flattering only to deceive - Tejay being caught after a mechanical in the wrost possible place (how much time and effort did that cost him?) though hats off to Riblon - the bizarre and utterly unfathomable Saxo tactics, leading to another fail by Bertie - Froome finally showing a sign of weakness, but Porte there to help him out while none of the others (except for Quintana to some extent) were able to take advantage - the 'sugar' incident, 20 seconds, pffff.

Bah.

Ok, so if it was a hunger knock, he would have been more or less blown to bits with about 3K to go on incredibly steep terrain with no hope of recovery given the nutrition cycle would be far too long.

If it was "just" cracking, or being put into some difficulty, a recovery of sorts was possible on incredibly steep terrain before the finish.

We've all had the hunger knock, but I've never had it on anything like those conditions.

Interesting. I am beginning to wonder how mentally fragile Froome may be. That was some strange behaviour.

Check Contador in the 09 Paris Nice for a proper hunger knock.

Out of nowhere he was completely empty and was being passed by everyone as if he was a 5th category amateur.

the fact that he's no real cyclist. he constantly talks in his radio, is clueless about what to do on his own, has the worst style of anyone I've ever seen. it doesn't even look like cycling what he is doing. and many more reasons

Dumbest thing I've read on these boards in a long time.

Why? It is a question of like and dislike, there's not much logic behind it. It's up to each person to like or not like someone or something.
