My point exactly Wiggins did this too last year and had one hell of a season it should be something other teams should take into consideration and it makes better racing too.
Tactic seems to be working for Katusha wouldn't ya say?

I think that you are the one getting carried away ;)

hardly carried away. i pointed to the fact that he is directly working with Kerrison now. Everything Kerrison did with Wiggins was to win every event he entered into, To peak for the race itself.

I pointed to his potential from previous races, grand tours etc and it's all there.

Plus there's one thing that everyone forgets, it's the added mileage of a full season behind him. That is bound to stand to him this season.

I fully expect a fantastic Tour de France battle between all of those front 5. and add in Hesjedal - mesmerising the possibilities, the best ever Tour!

You support the underdog as a generality, yes? Will you now therefore switch allegiance to Contador?

Anyone know what happened to Pozzovivo?

No, because he will say again about cramps or something and never admit his underdog status even in terms of this race. :) Honestly all the things related to other subform rather made me not root for anyone too much.

Pozzovivo seemingly paid for too active early moves. Though, it stange. 3k at 13% suits him perfectly.

Maybe even Andy in shape, to give it some extra spice.

My memory may be faulty but it seems a huge improvement on his start to last year.

it is. but how long was that virus in his system for?

he was very poor in Tirreno last year.

Was merely pointing out the irony in you telling people not to get carried away with froome's win......

I'm a big Hesjedal fan!

I think we are about to witness the best season in the last couple for cycling in general :)

Great to see Froomey up there with Purito. i know it's early season but this is promising. When I read that interview a couple weeks ago I knew he would be ready to take on Contador.

Evans' 3rd place is more of a surprise to me.

Damn, I'm shocked. We gave a great portion of intrigue and terrific expectations, but some people anyway are depressed! :)

I think you're forgetting 2012 where the board experts taught us very clearly that Sky are peaking too soon.

I thought it was "they haven't beaten anyone good"?

Pleased with that. Finally a day where the overwhelming favourite didn't win and pleased for Rodriguez, trounced everyone on every mountain stage in the Vuelta and only missed with some naivety and an off day on lesser one.

Still a decent price for the Tour if he goes for it.

Late to the party; slept an extra hour this AM. Would have set the alarm if there was a stream :)

Wow sounds like an explosive finale!! Can hardly wait to see some vid of it.

Looks like Purito, Froome, Alberto, Nibali and Evans all will have a fine season if this early form is any indicator and we will have some grand battles this season :)

Froome said in an interview a while back he was coming to win and beat AC and looks as if that is what he will do. Froome is IMO the biggest threat to ACs continued GT dominance.

Just have to Love Purito!!!
