I'm a believer: Velasco to outsprint Rui Costa on the line :)
Seriously, I hope Cancellara takes it just like I always want Boonen to win San Remo/Het Volk and Hushovd win Roubaix. Those are gaps that need to be filled in their records.

I don't know who I'm going to cheer for this worlds. Quintana, Nibali, Cance, Sagan, Gilbert, to name a few. I pretty much like all these guys, and would like to see any of them in rainbow. I guess I'll just cheer for whoever really earns it the most. Earns it meaning, they attack, their active, and they don't just follow others.

I am not that happy about it, but Valverde.

I'd be much happier to see Gilbert repeat, and he did look good in the Vuelta, but I doubt it.

I wonder what could happen should Papy Horner win the Worlds. The forum would go completely crazy :D :D :D

I'd shave my head bald in tribute to him even though I'm well on the way to that as it is at my young age.:p

Other, and Sagan is the "other"

If I didn't see it, I would not have believed it.

Sagan was 3rd climbing up the nasty Moonstone hill (15%) in Breckenridge, before the finish line, -after climbing up Independence Pass (12,095') out of Aspen and then Hoosier Pass (11,539') into Breckenridge in the 2013 USA Pro Cycling Challenge (Tour of Colorado). I really wasn't expecting to see Sagan in the front.

Sagan won 4 of the 7 stages.

The championship race will have a deeper field and it is difficult to pick who will win but Sagan will be a big threat.

The website would crash and have to close for maintenance again. It would be worse than the Armstrong debates.

Andy Schleck and Alberto Contador should not even be on the list. What happened to Cancellara and Sagan? Far more likely to podium than the first two.

Nibali, Valverde, Cancellara and Sagan are my picks for the top 4.

Gilbert and Purito outside chances.

Australia's chances went down the crapper when Gerrans fractured his hip/pelvis. Yeah, for the first time I am admitting he would have gone alright. Greenedge have had a good year and a team based around their primary squad would have made an impression. Not now.

Personally I want Italy to win. Forza Nibali!!

A fully fit Gerrans would be good for a top 5 IMHO but without him, can't see much happening from Aus. Maybe Evans or Clarke can show a little but that's about it.

Contador and Schleck in 2010/11 form would be awesome on this *sigh*. I think you've got the top 4 picked, Sagan and Cance are capable of hanging on unless one of the favourites sacrifice themselves and go beserk.

This would be an excellent worlds for Vino to go all out on :(

Yeah...it's a shame Vino retired last year. Oh well...we do have his protege Nibali to cheer for. Sure not Kazakh, but he rides for the team named after the Kazakh capital. :D

I do agree though...2010 and 2011 form Contador and Schleck would be huge players on this parcours. Their form well...not going to happen. AC will domestique like he did last year. Who knows what Andy will do.

I will be fair, I didn't check when the poll went up, so leaving Sagan and Cancellara out can be explained. I had a feeling Canclellara would be on form. The last month suggests it, same with Sagan.

If Spain do what they did in 2009 they should be smacked in the head. All of them. Pick one rider and back him. IMO it should be Valverde. Purito looked to be at a lower level at the Vuelta and we know historically Valverde can mix it more often than not than any other Spanish rider other than Freire.

Belgium...it's debatable Gilbert is even the on form rider and he was declaring he'd ride only for himself. Good luck with that attitude dude. Good luck indeed given the four riders I picked all seem to be in much better form.

As for the Aussie team. Porte's ITT speaks to me (Clinic wise) that he is not the same rider as in July and early on in the season. So he's out. Evans? Burnt out at the Tour...I can't see him being any more useful than Andy Schleck personally. Simon Clark...yeah why not?

I hope Nibali and Italy crush everyone on the final lap. I wanna see some fireworks in Firenze. :p

With the forecast today, is goint to rain in the last laps.

There is a corner after getting down a bridge 1,5 kms to the finish, that could be very important if it is raining.
