Tomorrow is an unpredictable stage that could end in a sprint from a small group of 40-50 riders, maybe less or even more, depends on the tempo set on the last climb which is pretty difficult (8km at 8%). There should be attacks on the climb and if a strong group of favourites takes form, they could survive till the finish although the top is more than 35km from the line.
Nice Stage, encourages aggression. I give Matthews a 50-50 chance of contesting the finish, depends how much he wants it.johnymax said:Stage 2

It sure looks like Ulissi and Machado are the main favourites now. But don't sleep on Koren. He is in good form and the final climb on stage 3 isn't that steep in the last kilometers. Still it will be difficult for him to hang on. There are others that lost some time but are very capable to do well on the climbs, so expect them to attack.
Oh and Papi Horner returned from his injury. He was 68th today, 43s down.

Do you know if there will be a ticker?
He didn't! Now what are the odds of both Machado and Sonny winning something in the same race? I guess Machado should withdraw and rest for the TourParrulo said:Hopefully Machado didn't get dropped on the wet descent![]()
