After a day like that, a team without Quintana can scarcely be expected to stay top, but Handbrake manages to hang on in the top 4. The new top three have no less than 6 riders in common.
Others had much bigger changes in rank: 15 teams rose by 10 or more places, including Vladimir, up 11 places to 6th, and Del1962, with the biggest jump of the day from 42nd to 18th.
Conversely, 14 teams fell by 10 or more slots, including former leader Gustienordic who falls from 5th to 24th.

Thanks for your sympathy: I have a much better spreadsheet than last year, so I don't have to do all the GC rankings manually as I did before.

There has been at least one of these GT CQ games when the rider who won the tour was not, because of stage wins and leaders' jerseys, the top scorer. I suspect it was the 2012 Giro: certainly Rodriguez was the non-winning top scorer.

But on the whole it is how one spends the remainder of the budget after getting the winner that determines the honours, yes.

I thought I'd be killing it after last night, with Uran, Quintana and Rolland, but now I realise I took Rolland out. Cest la vie.

My initial impression that it was a low cost sprinter who'd tip the scales, but right now Uran and Quintana look to the obvious picks, then it is low cost top 10s Aru, Rolland and Hesjedal which are looking like getting the job done.

Yay it was a good day for my all Colombian team, which has both Arredondo and Duarte.

Lol when making my team I was struggling a bit and I had little time left to submit, then I thought ah screw it, I'm gonna do a 100% Colombian team for the fun of it. But everything went better than expected with two Colombians in places 1 and 2 in the GC, a Colombian winning the mountain jersey, and a bunch of Colombian stage wins all by riders on my team.

Some fairly popular riders getting stage points, but also loads of points for riders in the top ten who have overtaken Evans. Big drop in Evans' points to make up for it though, which will hurt our early leaders.

Great game this, thanks to very tight top 10, constant changes in the GC and superb daily updates from Armchair!
Very happy to be in the provisional top 10, but with Rosa and Kruiswijk out I cannot really see how I can win. But if Kelderman overtakes Uran in the GC I should at least keep my place near the top
