Whatever TDF does, the Giro will do in a more dramatic but ultimately more chaotic manner with often disorganised outcomes. It is a reflection of the national psyche. The coverage including an accurate ticker is no exception to this rule.

The Vuelta ITT last year (38.8km) was 45.6 km/h (start and finish same altitude), so today should favour the climbers even more. Ofc unless the best ride more than 6 minutes faster than Flens, but I doubt that.
