lol @ people here thinking quintana didn't look good. what do you ecpect? a 52 kg guyw, who hasn't raced since march to hammer the peloton on a 4% climb? aqlso he did the best job out of everyone for gc. evans will never be a factor and quintana knows that and purito is out of the race. now he only has his countrymen duarte(him especially) andc uran to slightly worrie about for gc.

Yes, and I dislike that kind of whining. I never even cared when they used to whine about Chiappucci attakcing in feed zones and wherever. Again, deal with it, this is a sport, not a tea party. I love this sport, but there's too much whining over stuff that's just accepted in every other sport. I have yet to see a skier slow down or stop because a rival crashed or broke a tip. I have yet to see a boxer avoid hitting an opponent in the midsection after it becomes obvious a rib has been broken. When a basketball player twists an ankle on the court and it's a 5 on 4 situation, the team with 5 rushes in to score an easy basket. It's part of the sport. Suck it up.

Great post i was initially annoyed and still i am but this is a true reflection on any sport you would not see a F1 race stop if someone crashed to let him back in race would you.

you never saw him descend then or itt when it mattered, or ride classics like his first lombardia in the thunderstrms. quintana only can't sprint and is unexplosive and of course being so light he suffers tremendously in the wind, but he's good at placing himself and he never crashes either

Yes I have seen him descend. Yes I have seen him time trial. He is (below) average at both. Performs well in hilly time trials.

A good Nairo in the high mountains can take it all back though. But he didn't once go to the front to try and make up any time. Maybe he was/is injured?

Poor Purito, his Giro is done for GC. I hope he can win a couple of stages at least. Ditto for Roche, not that I expected him to podium, but he could have done a top 5 maybe.
