Agreed. Ryo's ridiculous hyperbole of rujano wore out my patience. Here it is all over again w 'once in a lifetime' Quintana.

TANK91 said:Yes i love PCM reason i got rid of Quintana is because he was 82 in mountain and he could reach 84 and 80 hill. So i thought my signing of Contadr was realistic. I no this is going way off topic but Froome was crazy this was his victories in 2014 Vuelta Mallorca, Tour Of Oman, Paris Nice, Volta ciclist Cataluna, his first defeat was at Pais Vasco(Valverde won) he then won Tour de Romandie, Giro di I'talia(6 stage wins, Quitana second) and the Dauphinee.
He went into the TDF with 60 race days which mean he was tyred, Contador who had 42 race days and came 5th in Giro went onto win. Froome has 1013 WT points. How did your first few years go what results you get? Sorry for going off topic.

It's funny you say this about Matthews, he's always had some talent on climbs. Back in 2008 I was doing a large amateur stage race (Tour of Bright) and on the Mt Hotham stage (30 km @ 5%) some skinny kid from B grade came past us A graders like we were standing still, after starting nearly 5 minutes later.Ryo Hazuki said:but what he showed in avenir 2010 was truly remarkable as a climber. he hasn't shown that level yet. I hope he will and also keep working his itt that was also strong as an u23

No, I don't think so. Sure, if there's a big pileup early in a race it's very common to slack the speed a Little and let those involved get back up.
But with about ten K? There's simply no time for waiting.

Majka still there, if he recovers well from the crash he could be on the podium. But.. how bad was his crash?
Afrank said:No, Quintana kept it up and avoided the crash.

hughmoore said:OK Thanks, the Gap at the bottom appeared to be around 30 seconds, but was more at the top, surprising that Quintana didn't try to close the Gap?
Perhaps he wanted to make it more interesting in the Mountains.

I mean the way you're talking there, perhaps Tim Wellens or Matteo Rabottini are just as great as Cadel? Not lucky to have found themselves in the exclusive lead group either. Champions in waiting!
