And how many bike races has he seen in life? The rear brake adjustement is almost a tradition, everybody does that.

Lol forum meltdown if Froome was doing this

IMO it doesn't look likes Astana is trying to put time into Contador. More like Contador is really struggling.

The crashes of (Cavendish) Froome and Contador destroyed this tour.

Astana is drilling it now really hard, so over.

Ofcourse they are well within their rights to ride but make no mistake, Astana ARE riding hard. You are naive if you think otherwise. Just watch the gap progression to the break.

This tour is now game on and really competitive

Nibali vs a phalanx of Frenchmen with loose alliances ( Rolland vs Pinot vs Bardet vs Gallopin vs Peraud ) with Valverde sucking all and every wheel possible.

This is what we hoped for.

Well, what will be interesting is that there are a whole cast of characters (Porte, TJVG, Talansky, Rolland, etc.) with ZERO to lose. That is, unless they decide to battle for podium positions only.

It still won't change that his win will come against a field that didn't include the two best GC riders on the year.

You can only play the hand that's in front of you. Look, it's a valid point to bring up when discussing Nibali's achievements as a rider, I'm just saying that people who are bitter towards him for circumstances outside his control are deluded.

I will give my bike to Contador in the next Tour, it hasn't broken yet and has been going for some years now. Seriously, if this is true, what kind of bikes are they using?!

The big disadvantage of carbon and especially the way they are trimming down on the fibers to get a weight advantage.

Contador has to be hurt, that Saxo train is going sloooooow. At one point it was down to three minutes (though the timing has been acting funny all day) back to MJ, now it's back up again to 3'30.

Honestly i am an huge Nibali fan but him winning the Tour with both Froome and Contador crashing out would put a big * next to his win.

I know crashing out is part of the race but if this frame snapping story is true than Contador is not to blame for his crash this is really just a freak accident

Nothing should be taken away from Nibbles after the way he raced this first week. I'm really sorry for what happened to Contador, but the * thing is utter BS to me.

On RAI they're blaming Astana for pulling the peloton. Such idiots.

lol astana:eek:

They're not pulling hard though. If Contador was even feeling half good he would have had no problem getting back. If you took your eyepatch off you'd realise that. Machado literally just got back after his crash while Astana was on the front. Proving my point beyond argument

I'm not blaming Nibali. It is what it is.
