Even if they get back to the peloton he will do well not to lose two mins at least when the racing begins

Astana are on the front but they're hardly drilling it. The peloton is still plenty large and contador is closing the gap

maintaining the gap to Kiwi, looking forward movie will drill

Honestly i am an huge Nibali fan but him winning the Tour with both Froome and Contador crashing out would put a big * next to his win.

I know crashing out is part of the race but if this frame snapping story is true than Contador is not to blame for his crash this is really just a freak accident

It's not like Nibali is to blame either for getting lucky. Hell, he could crash out on the next descent himself, how lucky would he be then? These things happen.

What are you guys watching? Astana is not riding anything hard, Contador will get back. The question is - how bad is the damage?

I will give my bike to Contador in the next Tour, it hasn't broken yet and has been going for some years now. Seriously, if this is true, what kind of bikes are they using?!

He needs to go get himself one of those hand made custom steel bikes. I know a guy that can make 11 pound steel bikes. That should be light enough for him. :D

I just hope there is no major damage to Contador. The Vuelta should give us the showdown that everyone wanted (Froome v. Contador) that we aren't getting this year.

Quintana and Purito also targetting Vuelta :D

Classtana. Very sportsmanlike not to press the advantage here. Chapeau to Nibali.

Machado still riding. Awesome.

That wasn't Machado, i have no idea where he is

Well that seems like yellow jersey contest is over, green is done. Thank god for the mountains jersey.

It will be hard to beat Purito. The white jersey will probably be the best contest.

Astana should be smashing it. It's not a gift shop this.

I agree. After what happened to Valverde last year, I don't think TS has much high ground to stand on when it comes to waiting. They gave him a few minutes out of courtesy, which was proper IMO.
