Parrulo i am sorry for not writing the year and name of the race, i don't think it was that important. And thank you for not wasting any discussion with me, I am really sorry and beg that you forgive me for my sin.

Yours honestly

Has Porte actually ever outclimbed Nibali? What makes you guys think he would do that know, given his form this year? Not sure how you saw the end of stage 8, but I thought I saw him out of saddle maxed out the full last km trying to catch the duo, who where most of time chatting with eachothers...

Its possible if he has last year's climbing legs

If Lil Richie aka underdawg drops either Nibali or Contador I think I'll puke on my computer!

Wow Contador fans are really nuts, what are you gonna do if Little Richie will win this TDF? I'm not a Contador fan,i really don't like the guy, but if he's gonna win good for him,i would recognize he was the best and that's it.These reactions towards other competitors are sick:eek:

I know. I received so much personal attack since Nibali took the lead. Try to post a different opinion on AC thread. See what happens?

It's sad that you're trying to start something, i don't know why but any person can see that you're trying to bait with obvious trolling. I know it's easy to say you're trolling but if anyone would look up your posts from the past days i think they'll come to the same conclusion, and i haven't even seen them all, just the one i accidently noticed.

I've btw nothing against Nibali, never even talked bad about him, he was the only guy who tried something in the giro 2011 and tour 2012 despite overwhelming dominance. Heck i haven't seen almost anyone talk **** about him. He can definitely win this tour and he's the same type as Contador, he'll never give up. I don't know why you gotta start something. You will deny it of course, but your posts speak differently.

You should be very sorry. It was a grave mistake.
Back in the ol' days, people like you got chopped off a hand or two, just as an example!

Nieve has already lost lot of time and his TT is not as good as Porte's

Nieve is around 3min from Porte. If Porte has his typical day in next 2 weeks, Nieve will be released to do whatever he wants in mountain stages. And Richie having his bad day is more probable than Richie outclimbing Nibali, because the first has actually happened (multiple times actually), the second not so often (maybe never).

ok lets wait and see

No,no i won't do that,i don't wanna be skinned alive:D

I want to state that Porte's tt's are really overrated. Last year he took less than a minute out of a **** Contador in the flat tt and lost alsmost 5 minutes in the hilly tt (he prolly didn't try though). In 2012 he took barely over a minute over an injured Nibali in the final tt over 53.5 km.

i think people are betting he is better than his 2013 paris nice form, Sir b said Porte's condition is better than ever.

I've look at the profiles, and Chamrousse is not suited for a short range attack. The first half is by far the hardes, averageing like 8,5-9%. After that, 5,5 and 6,5% gradients kick in and it might be impossible to ride away.

I think the opposite is the case. The first half is very hard, around 9 %. Perfect to go full gas from the start. Dropping someone on the steep part is better when there's a less steep part ahead. Because on the less steep part (5-7%) the speed will be higher. You have to push more instead of just pure climbing.
If Contador drops Nibali on the steep section and Nibali goes into the red, he will be suffering to push those big gears when in difficulty.

Similar thing to why stages with a hard penultimate climb and a fluid final climb often create big differences ( Mortirolo- Aprica, Finestre - Sestrières).
On top of Mortirolo you see riders 1 min back. 1 min on the foot of Aprica and in the end 2:30 or 3 minutes.

At the Tour de Romandie Froome and Spilak dropped the rest in the first 3 hard km. Rest of the climb was easy and they took 1 minute out of them.

So an easy first part wouldn't facilitate an early attack. They all wait for the steep part which is logical.

Exactly how many 'bad days' has Porte had? (Not including early this season when he was ill)

Well he only had 1 really bad day if i recall correctly and that was in the tour last year.
