What for me makes the race is the GC, it can still be exciting but the rating can never be more for me than a 5 when GC is already done after 1 week. That's for me personally though.

People say the tour can't be changed drastically by 1 man but i strongly disagree

You make a good point and whilst not being a true Classic the racing has been far from boring, for me the French success further elevates this particular Tour's importance.

Looks like only Movistar is strong enough to do something, but they have no reason to do so. I was hoping for Pinot to go for it, don't think he can make 1'20 if Valverde comes fully fresh under Hautacam.

If nibali wins stage where does majka have to finish to retain KOM?

Nibali wins he'll have 168 points. 6th place minimum would give him one point over Nibali at 169.

I hope for Majka's sake, Riis knows what he's doing.

Tinkoff Saxo Bank

Am I missing something? Why are the Tinkoff/Saxo bikes more of a TDF yellow and their kits more of a chartreuse-y color? Wait--think I just figured it out--they had to change their TDF yellow kits for the tour, but left their bikes the original color.

I don't like the clash, but now I get it.

credit to valverde who I don't like much he is willing to throw the dice on this one, conditions very fare today gilet needed on the downhill today.

Nice that Kadri got himself the first over the top prize.
