Yeah, hard not to like Froome for that! (And I'm 100% anti-sky) Pretty awesome. Glad Contador isn't just running away with it, it's about time we had a decently contested GC. This is living up to the hype (just wish Quintana was here)

Also Dan Martin did well. Coming in just behind the big guys but ahead of his GC rivals like Gesink, Uran and Caruso.

Ryder passing Zaugg at the end was like Simon Gerrans winning Liège-Bastogne-Liège for me.

Uh, why?

Zaugg sat at the back (understandably) from the parts of the stage that I watched, while Ryder was taking turns.

He didn't wheelsuck anyone up the last climb.

So, why really?

Oh you changed your tune "he will struggle in climbs" haha. This is clearly not a great Froome isit have you seen him always dropping back if it was a great Froome he would go nuts attacking.

In the 2011 Vuelta he was dropped on San Lorenzo but worked his way back and then was about the strongest rider on La Farrapona. Thankfully Cobo wasn't a total coward in that race, and David de la Fuente won the Vuelta for him by going in the break that day.

Wow, Alejandro, talk about timing your attack just wrong. Certainly he can not have felt that good to make him think he can distance everyone in the less steeper section. Can't figure out the point of that. Oh well.

Froome doing anything riles me, I'd forgotten how much so since I've been avoiding watching most races he's entered into for the last two years.

Zaugg didn't take one pull at the front of the break, or maybe just a few while Hesjedal did plenty of work. Wether I like him or not he deserved it a lot more than Zaugg.

That's just... weird. If you like Zaugg more than Hesjedal, fine, but how was this wheelsucking again? It was just one on one with 100 meters apart, not sitting in wheels.

As a comparison, it doesn't make sense on any level.

The worthwhile attack (even if Zaugg had been doing no work as he was monitoring the break, he was the one off the front in the only relevant part of the stage thanks to Unipublic's policy of stage design) was caught and beaten at the very last by the person from that group I least wanted to see anywhere near the win. When Goss won Sanremo it was similar, although at least there it was understandable as you expected Goss to win the sprint.

If it had been Rogers instead of Zaugg, I'd have been cheering Ryder all the way, however.

Feel so sorry for Zaugg - a great, gutsy ride - and then bloody Ryder Hesjedal gets towed up by the motorbikes behind him and outsprints him

He should have been saving his strength to help Contador in the next couple of days. Now he has gone deeply into the red and has nothing to show for it.

Weirdest doesn't equal most exciting. Without Contador and co attacking his style is actually ridiculously boring. What is exciting is him getting dropped and then coming back to much surprise.

Anyway, it's fair to say that your statement isn't nearly a fact, or even logical, but fanboys will be fanboys.

Yeah i mean Froome cant attack the Contador way does he:rolleyes:, guess you aint been watching this sport for long?. Why do people love Contador? He is a huge fighter and agressive those same traits are in Froome in abundance.

Ah, you just don't like Hesjedal.

Fair enough.

Nope. TANK is one of the best posters here and certainly far from being the only one liking Froome. You don't like Froome, we get it. Keep it up TANK, mate.

Contador to now start packing himself on Groomed wheel.

He tried that in the Dauphine and they both ended up handing the victory to someone else. Probably better to just not to do waste energy on 20m attacks, when he doesn't have the form to sustain them at the moment.

Must hurt to know Froome is the same rider as Contador who attacks and does some stuff you think WOW. Im annoying yet your a troll for failing to see how good that was, he lost nearly 1 min in a bloody ITT for crying out loud. I can at least acknowledge Contador has been the best this season he as been a beast you probably aint got it in you to congratualte Froome. Go to the Contador thread for my positive comments about Contador, unlike you i dont constantly hate one because i like one rider.

See you lose the argument when you resort to making personal attacks..

He likes Froome, you don't. He's allowed an opinion and just because it doesn't agree with yours doesn't mean he's in any way wrong..
