Chapeau Pinot
Treated his bike like a lazy mountain donkey but he still made it.
Froome looked a bit done in - arriving in the slowmo replay

Super Thibaut!
Froome like those universal soldiers again but he's a showman, even in a stage where he's not attacking for a second.

I have an impression that the Tour heavyweights were seizing themselves up a bit.
Nothing to be taken from Pinot's effort, though. Really good rider.
I'd like to hear a word or two from Nibali. He blew so suddenly.

I get the impression that when it comes to watching the best riders its Froome V Contador. You can bet your house On Froome dropping the others today. Its easy for him, he's that good. Racing for me is boring without the best. Same with any sport

Froome's not a topclass TT rider, when he's not in topform. Gonna be very interesting tomorrow.

I think Froome is as strong as the last couple of years. The other teams were just riding WAY smarter and Sky was pretty weak. If this is Froome's TDF team, he is going to be grilled.

Why the hell would you send Nieve and Kiryienka to the Giro instead of the Tour? Roche is overrated and the rest are not climbers. And a guy like Henao doesn't belong in a train. He is a pure attacker.

Quite, do they want to win the TDF or not ...

Henao, Poels and Porte will be there for the tour, Kennaugh and G will be stronger too, Froome looked strong pulling the bunch

Quintana was very disappointing, Froome rode smart "good stem work" Pinot excellent ,Zakarin, excellent.

Nibs rode as expected "saving it all for the tour"

Overall a bit of let down. Sat there waiting for Quintana to attack "he had nufink" nearly as boring as the tour of Tetley.

Yeah, and Porte has to be tried from the Giro. At least they could have saved Nieve and Kiry. Poels is going to be the last man standing for Froome given Henao's unpredictable nature.

Still not enough IMO especially not with a tired Porte. But let's see how the other teams look like.

To be honest, I don't think we can ever tell anything from Quintana. His expression is always the same and he never pedals squares.

He is an attacker, not a pacer.

How exactly is this race representative for what we're gonna see in Le Tour? Apart from Froome who at this time of the year used to destroy everybody, Nibali and Quintana are in Romandie for training. As of lately Froome himself seems to have either problems or a different approach for TdF.

yep, its very hard, but from how he reacted (on flat!) on bardet sprint I think he had something in the tank.

Froome was Fu%%ed at the end. He gave it his all," Respect" He has no chance of winning the tour on that form or Quintana for that matter.
This is all good news for King Bertie . He would have rode away from all of them today and quite easy.

quintana is very overrated, he isn't the level of froome or contador, his attacks are so weak compared to others two

Quintana usually attacks if he can,no way he was feeling too great today.Froome has better acceleration,if in decent form will drop Quintana in TDF,you'll see :)

He did a couple of accelerations which he couldn't sustain and then sprinted after not doing anything.

How you were able to conclude from that that he had better legs than a guy who pulled the most out of the favorites on the climb is beyond me.

Porte, König, Nieve, Lopez, Kiry, Sivtsov, Henao Jr. Puccio, Viviani. Their Giro team is going to be stronger than their Tour team.
