Gallopin's a great shout actually. If some of the sprinters haul themselves up the steep section they are most likely going to be alone with no lead out trains. If an intelligent rider like Gallopin then makes a break for it on the flatter part, there won't be much organisation to chase him down.

Sagan def wins but if he finds a way to lose EBH could pick up the pieces. Good to see EBH looking for stage wins again and not at the top of the train up a mountain.

But seriously, Lampre have been woefully anonymous so far this Tour and Costa has lost more time already than he would have bargained for I imagine. They have to kick start things at some point.

A rank outsider for the stage could be someone like Reniardt Van Reinsburg, but I agree that EBH is looking pretty good at the moment so Reniardt will no doubt be working for him. A 1-2 for MTN Qhubeka would be proper fairy tale stuff.

Will be hard for him to attack up a 7% climb. I don't see him as a candidate tbh. He hasn't shown that great form

GVA would normally be my pick, I just think Van Garderen has a fairly big opportunity this year for something big in the GC, which means GVA will spend even more energy before the final than usual.

Now it makes more sense they compared it with the cauberg, 200meters more might be the dagger for most sprinters.

I don't see any big sprinter survive and be competitive besides sagan
